Yes, but can Jews today truly trace their ancestry back to Ancient Jews? Israel has banned genetic testing like 23 and Me, why is that? Because the truth is the Ancient Jews are now Catholic Italians, Muslim Turks, Arabs and even Palestinians. Jews who immigrated from middle eastern countries are likely descendants, but those who immigrated in from Europe are likely converts.

For the people who say “well, they were warned to leave,” and then add nothing else to that statement, please try to have the empathy to understand generational trauma. And I’m not even getting into the issue of war crimes here…just basic empathy. Palestinians, or any other group of people who have been displaced, have generations of trauma surrounding repeated displacement and broken promises. You don’t even need to get into a Hamas vs Israel thing here to get how deeply painful it is to constantly have to pickup and move and hear those stories from your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. It’s exhausting, painful, and traumatizing.

@TomLondon6 How are you defining genocide? Because Israel does not intend to destroy a nation or group, as that term is defined This is war, and it's brutal, but words have meaning, and it seems to me that you want to use the right words

Israel uses 2 techniques often 1. Accusing critics of being antisemitic 2. Seeking advantage by referencing the Holocaust It is time the world insisted on looking at the facts and at International Law as the case may be It is Israel which is currently carrying out a genocide

@BenjaminNorton Yes, so simple Is America a Western settler-colonialist project? Should every country revert back to pre-colonial status or just Israel? What about borders set by defensive wars? What about security for Israel? So simple

No, actually it's simple: - Israel is a Western settler-colonialist project founded on the mass ethnic cleansing of indigenous Palestinians. - US imperialism uses Israel as a military outpost in resource-rich West Asia. - Israel has illegally occupied Palestinian land for decades and will never allow Palestinians to create a state of their own. - Palestinians living under Israeli control are subjected to a brutal apartheid regime, as even Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch now admit. - Another 6 million Palestinians are registered as refugees with the UN, and Israel denies them their legal right to return to their homeland. - Palestinians have a right under international law to armed resistance against Israeli colonialism, as stated clearly in UN General Assembly resolution 35/35, among others. - Israel's government has become increasingly far-right, racist, and eliminationist, and current members of the ruling coalition include literal fascist parties who want to commit genocide against Palestinians. That's what they are trying to do now, while hoping to once again ethnically cleanse the Palestinians who survive, forcing them out of Gaza into Egypt. - The majority of the world, including almost all of the Global South (with a few exceptions), supports the Palestinian national-liberation struggle. Israel is supported by the United States and its proxies. But Washington uses its veto in the UN Security Council to prevent any international action against Israel's constant crimes against humanity.

What's happening in Israel/Palestine might be confusing to many. And many in the West think the situation is crystal clear: Israel is defending itself against a group hell-bent on its destruction. You may even be wondering: How do I know seemingly good people who could be supporting such terrorism? Are they not as good as I imagined them to be? Have they been deceiving me all this time? I want to bring clarity to this situation, and I hope you can understand why people can be pro-Palestine (and it's NOT because they're anti-Semitic). To understand why good people can't see eye to eye on what's happening in Israel/Palestine, we have to admit a simple fact: When we talk about Israel, we're talking about 2 completely different things. Westerners may think of Israel as a homeland for Jews after the horrors of the Holocaust. The Jews deserve to be safe, and the current conflict with the Palestinians seems to be a continuation of the hostility towards the Jews. This does seem like a reasonable view to hold. But this is only one side of the story. The justification for the establishment of the State of Israel was based on the slogan: A land *without a people* for a people without a land But where were the Palestinians? Where did they come from? They were in the land. But their existence was conveniently overlooked. Why? To pave the way for their genocide. The Jewish homeland the Zionists wanted had to be cleared from its inhabitants. And that's what happened during the establishment of Israel, and what continues to happen to this day. Not because the Palestinians posed a threat to the Jews, but because they were an inconvenience to the ideal of a Jewish homeland. The Israel the Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and other pro-Palestinian supporters know is NOT the Jewish homeland intended to protect the Jews, but the state intending to eradicate the Palestinians. This is why we're not seeing eye to eye when it comes to Israel. And this isn't a "difference of opinion", but lies vs facts. Glossing over the crimes Israel has perpetrated FOR its establishment, SINCE its establishment, and continues to perpetrate even BEFORE Hamas's recent attacks removes all the RELEVANT context needed to understand the pro-Palestinian position and, I hope you can see, is a valid anti-Israel position. NOT Israel "as a safe haven for Jews", but Israel that is genocidal towards the Palestinians. From Day 1 (and before). You are being fed a media narrative that is supporting a political position intended to further Western interests, at the expense of fairness and humanity. Western leaders want you to not empathize with the Palestinians so they can pave the way for their genocide, without any remorse or objection from its citizens. They want you to think: "The Palestinians deserved what they got." Unfortunately, many Westerners have already fallen for this psyop. They are justifying the murder of 2+ million Palestinians because of the lie that the Palestinians won't accept leaving the Jews to live in peace. The Palestinians want peace, but not with the state that was established to eradicate them. If you want to learn more, you can look up: • The Nakba (Catastrophe): How the Palestinians were driven out of Palestine • The Deir Yassin massacre: One of many massacres of the (then) defenseless Palestinian population • The Right of Return: The law that allows ANY Jew to enter Israel and become a citizen, but Palestinians forced out of their homes aren't allowed to return (and by now I hope you've realized that they're not allowed to return NOT because they pose a security risk, but because their existence isn't welcome in Israel) • Any news about Israeli settlers in recent months killing Palestinians, abusing them, or evicting them out of their homes. Again, this is before Hamas's attacks. I want to help good people NOT fall for propaganda, and to not end up justifying the genocide currently taking place, which is endorsed by Western leaders. If you are in a position to do something, please do something. If you live in a democracy, your voice matters. Please use it.

Part of Israeli propaganda: Referring to Israelis killed as Jews, to give the impression they were killed BECAUSE they are Jews, reinforcing the lie that Hamas and those who are pro-Palestine are anti-Semitic.
Haider Al-Mosawi 🚢@haideralmosawi

Let's be VERY clear about why people are against Israel: It is NOT due to anti-Semitism. This is an excuse used to dehumanize the Palestinians and criminalize supporting them throughout the Western world. People are against Israel because it has, since its establishment, and continues to do so today: murder Palestinians and drives them out of their land. Everything about Israeli law is intended to bring Jews in and push the Arabs out. Israel knows the power of the media, which is why it takes initiative (at times) in calling for peace talks, but then doesn't follow through on any of the promises it makes to the Palestinians. Then blames the Palestinians for what befalls them. Those who are pro-Israel point to the hostility of the Arab nations towards Israel since its establishment, but we must be clear about 2 things: 1- There was a belief, even before the establishment of Israel, that there is the desire for a Jewish homeland in Palestine that would stretch from the Nile to the Euphrates. How true is this agenda I can't quite confirm, but many Arabs believed that the 2 blue lines in the Israeli flag point to this agenda. So the response to Israel's establishment was NOT fueled by hatred. It was fueled by fear of what the establishment of Israel would mean for the entire region. Not anti-Semitism, but anti-Zionism. Not against a Jewish homeland, but against an expansionist Jewish homeland that will stretch beyond the initial borders of Israel. 2- Britain is a colonialist power, used to exploiting other nations, and causing conflicts around the world, so that it can divide and conquer other nations, whether militarily or diplomatically. The establishment of Israel was NOT a charitable act. It was a colonialist one. A Jewish homeland in the Middle East was intended to cause instability in the Middle East, in the same way we're seeing instability in India/Pakistan today that was largely caused by Britain. The Middle East is in constant conflict and instability NOT because the Arabs can't get along, but because the borders were drawn by colonialist powers (Britain and France) to cause this instability. The Middle East is unstable BY DESIGN, and it is the West that's responsible for this instability. You can look up the Sykes-Picot Agreement between Britain and France to learn more about this. It's also why the Alawite minority rules over the Sunni majority in Syria and the Sunni minority ruled over the Shia majority of Iraq. Instability. By design. Not by the Arabs, but by the West. So why would you expect the Arabs to trust their fate to the British? Do you think the Arabs imagined their interests were of any importance when Israel was established? HELL. TO. THE. NO! NOT because the Arabs hate Jews, but because the Arabs feared there was a plot against them. So please... Don't fall for propaganda. Don't fall for bullshit. Being pro-Palestine is NOT anti-Semitism. It's anti-Zionism. It's anti-mass murder. It's anti-ethnic cleansing. It's anti-genocide. It's anti-dehumanization that's currently paving the way for genocide, and Western leaders, intellectuals, and influencers are playing their part in this genocide. Don't side with them. Side with the truth. Side with justice. And call for the end to what's happening in Gaza before the Gazan people come to an end. #Gaza_under_attack #Gazagenocide
