🚨TEDDY SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 5/18 @ 11AM🚨
Teddy is only 5 months old, and already facing the possibility of losing his leg… or his life.
This sweet puppy was found as a stray back in April and quickly proved himself to be exactly what everyone wants in a puppy: affectionate, social, cuddly, and absolutely full of love. His foster described him as a “social butterfly” who adored affection, loved children, and happily gave puppy kisses to everyone he met.
💔 Then one accident changed everything.
Teddy excitedly jumped from his foster’s arms and fractured four metacarpals in his front paw. X-rays confirmed fractures to bones 2, 3, 4, and 5. He’s currently splinted and on pain medication, but he urgently needs major medical care that DAS cannot provide.
The prognosis with splinting alone is poor. Teddy will likely need either:
• Surgery with plates (estimated $4,000–$6,000)
OR
• Front leg amputation (estimated $1,200–$1,500)
Without treatment, he faces chronic pain and worsening injury.
And through all of this… he’s still just a baby.
Still wanting love. Still trusting people. Still trying to be a happy puppy despite sitting in pain and not understanding why his life suddenly changed.
His foster is willing to continue caring for him if a rescue can step in to back him.
Teddy deserves the chance to heal, grow up, and live the happy life every puppy should get.
