Long stretches of radio silence on my social media – I’ve been traveling in Europe for work, with hardly a moment to catch my breath. A couple of more events and I’ll be returning to New York next week. This has been a particularly fun and interesting trip and I’ll catch up on my postings shortly.

NIL income is taxable, so schools in states with no state income tax can use that as a recruiting tool (uh Amy, they probably already are) and it will be interesting to see if schools ultimately agree upon a "duty day calculation" as does the @NFL for state taxation.

Vorzeige-Unternehmer Philipp Westermeyer: “Man hat keinen Anspruch auf Erfolg“
Philipp Westermeyer gehört zu Deutschlands Vorzeige-Unternehmern. Er ist Gründer des Online Marketing Festivals OMR, bei der sich gerade über 800 Referenten und 70,000 Teilnehmer in Hamburg die Ehre gegeben haben, produziert Podcasts, betreibt Unternehmensberatungen und vieles mehr.
Angefangen hat der BWLer seine Karriere bei Gruner + Jahr. Danach gründete er mit zwei Partnern Marketing-Unternehmen. Westermeyer erläutert, dass sie erfolgreich in der Welle der aufstrebenden Unternehmen wie Google und Facebook gesurft hätten.
Seinen Erfolg führt er auf sein Gespür für Geschäftsgelegenheiten zurück. Aber es gab auch Herausforderungen, wie insbesondere die Pandemie, während derer sein Unternehmen zwei Jahre lang kein Event machen durfte. „Das war schon auch anstrengend, da irgendwie den Kopf oben zu halten … diese Zeit, wo das alles weggebrochen ist, das war brutal,“ so Westermeyer.
Die drei Jahre, die er in Amerika verbracht hat, bezeichnet er als die prägendste Zeit seines Lebens, die seine Perspektive geändert und ihm viel eröffnet habe.
Für Deutschland sieht er durchaus Gründe für Optimismus. Allerdings wäre es hilfreich, wenn noch europäischer gedacht würde.
Neigung und Leidenschaft sieht er Voraussetzung dafür, dass man in etwas richtig gut wird und Netzwerke hält er für “total relevant.“

My frens, Mom is taking me to see my veterinarian fren today. Something is wrong and I hurt. Mom and Marshal Jim have been sitting with me because I cry out when I move, they don’t know what is wrong or why I hurt. There are some large lumps that developed on my side and back since I last saw my Veterinarian fren. Mom is very worried. Mom is asking for a paw circle please.
