@amenya_nelson African leaders need to borrow a leaf from other countries. You don’t have to completely disrupt traffic just because a president is passing.

Noise, negativity and activism without a clear and demonstrable development agenda cannot transform our country.
Unlike our opponents, we have a plan and a track record to back it up. There is no turning back in the journey to transform Kenya.
Appreciated ongoing dumpsite works at the Ngomongo Quarry, inspected trunk sewer works at the Dandora Bridge and the landscaping and beautification of the Kamukunji Community Park, Nairobi County.

I’ve just come from watching Citizen TV News and honestly, the report from Kilifi disturbed me.
Locals say they received relief food, about 5 kg of rice and beans per family. In households of 3, 4 or more people already facing extreme hunger and drought, that may not even last a week.
Imagine trying to stretch that while your children are already hungry.
We keep hearing that billions have been spent on relief food. If that is true, then the issue may not only be money; it may be how we think about solutions.
One uncomfortable reality is that many people in many powerful offices operate within routines. Real crises require deeper thinking and practical ideas, not just standard distribution.
Personally, I believe a better approach in severe drought would be central community kitchens in each village, food cooked daily, with families collecting prepared meals from designated points until rains return. This model has worked in famine and war zones because it guarantees at least one real meal a day.
Sometimes leadership is not about doing more, it’s about thinking differently.
If things go well on our side, we may even try to set up a small temporary kitchen in one of these areas, even if only for a week, just to demonstrate that another approach is possible.
Because no Kenyan should starve while help exists on paper.
Be honest, how long would 5 kg of rice and beans feed your household, assuming it's the only food you have?

@MikeSonko Now that we’re grown, some of us have had the chance to travel and interact with other races,it’s important to remember people are just people, regardless of race. having a white partner is not an achievement. Do not let your guard down simply because someone is a foreigner
English

@MikeSonko Some of us grew up seeing white men coming to our schools, sponsoring students, supporting health initiatives, or helping people travel abroad, which was often portrayed as the ultimate achievement or a way out of poverty. Going abroad seemed like heaven.

I’ve watched the videos of a Russian man approaching women in Nairobi and Mombasa while secretly recording with smart glasses, and it immediately reminded me of the Rita Waeni femicide case.
What disturbed me wasn’t just his behavior; it was how easily trust was given to a stranger… while he openly mocked it in Russian.
Within minutes, phone numbers were shared. Within hours, some were in his house.
No background check. No verification. No caution.
Rita Waeni similarly met a foreigner in a short-stay apartment and was later found murdered and dismembered. Her case shocked the nation, yet the underlying risk, trusting strangers too quickly, is still with us.
This isn’t about judging anyone. It’s about preventing the next tragedy.
We are living in a time of rising GBV and femicide. Many victims knew or trusted the person who harmed them.
Hard truth: skin color, nationality, charm, or perceived status does NOT equal safety.
Predators rely on speed. They exploit politeness, curiosity, loneliness, and lowered guard.
I’m not against socializing or meeting new people. But situational awareness can save lives.
Meet in public first. Verify who you’re dealing with. Tell someone where you’re going. Don't do what we have just witnessed
Safety is not paranoia; it is wisdom.
Genuine question:
What social or psychological factors, or others, lead some women to lower their guard more quickly around foreign men they’ve just met?
