No idea if anybody from twitch will see this, but exports to youtube are failing a lot recently and you guys are going to delete old vods in two weeks. Kinda need export to work to save years of the SpyParty community's work on your platform. I wish bugs were easier to report.

@JakeWharton yeah built d8 from latest main source branch and it looks like it inserted the handler correctly! still need to test, but the dex looks correct...any advice on which tag I should build? 8.0?

@JakeWharton hmm, I built a debug d8 and am stepping through, and it may be because I'm using jdk 1.15 and so the detector code isn't recognizing the sequence...the d8 in the latest android sdk is ancient 3.3.20-dev+aosp1, from the source it looks like you guys are on 8.x now

@JakeWharton hi, I've been messing with android+java recently and was bummed that asserts seemed to be ignored and not hookable but then I found your d8 changes and rejoiced because it was exactly what I wanted, but I can't get the handler to work, it always throws AE

@AuthyHelp the latest authy on windows update from a couple months ago has a couple bugs, 1) it resizes the window weirdly if it's been minimized, and more importantly 2) if it's been minimized for a long time the window will sometimes be blank and it needs restarting

(I can't find it now but Chris Hecker's Spore postmortem contained a similar slide: creatures rendered abstractly as a series of differently-sized oriented boxes. IMO they looked significantly more interesting and cool/weird than the skinned curvy "good looking" in-game meshes.)

I have never felt more alienated from the gamedev zeitgeist than with this Nanite stuff. Sure, you can render 20 trillion meshes.. but what can those meshes *do*?? Nothing! They just look "good". Chess with "better-looking" pieces is not a better game! How is this not obvious?!

@checker they haven't cared about this for 5+ years now, i doubt they're going to start listening now, unfortunately.

I don't know how many developers who run a discord follow me, but we got bitten by and found out about this insane private channel security hole today, so hopefully this will help you avoid this...
