@JoshPateCFB Which program/programs may be the next Virginia Tech in terms of making a coaching decision very early next year? I imagine some programs wanted to make a change now, but the pool became too crowded as we reached the end of the year.

I get the angst. But this won't be Napier 2.0. Sumrall isn't bringing a G5 staff. And he will have an NFL-style GM (not a yes man) to help.

I hope Jon Sumrall is great and I'll be pulling for him. However, this was a colossal failure of a coaching search by Scott Stricklin. Just totally clueless. No edge. No pulse of the fan base. Hired a search firm to produce the most uninspiring hire possible. Grade: F. Pathetic.

Regardless of my opinion I’m willing to give any coach a shot as I should. But it will be an uphill battle with most of the fanbase.
The big question is, who’s the coordinators and will he get the same NIL support they were willing to give option #1?

@ScottStricklin Please give @CoachJonSumrall the same NIL budget/resources and staff budget as you would’ve given the other candidate. We want him to be successful and turn around the program. Do not hinder his ability to do so to fund other projects. #GoGators
