@potus18_grant @rhensing That’s excessively high for those temps. Would expect closer to 25% loss. Maybe.
Most modern BEV’s have heat pumps and battery management software that greatly reduces range loss in extreme weather.
Course I drive 2dr softtop wranglers that get less range than most BEV’s 🤷♂️

@cheers1964 @rhensing Several Tesla 3 > 2022. Tesla Y 2023. Cadillac Lyric 2024.
Minnesota January averages less than 27deg high temps FYI.
The people that tell me this are Tesla fanboys (and girls).
English

You’re literally retarded if you’d rather own a gas car so that on occasional road trips you spend 5 minutes adding gas vs 23 minutes while also having 4-8x the annual fuel costs and having to drive yourself like a peasant.
Lincoln@MobofJoggers
But electric cars you have to charge forever. Salt Lake City to the Sphere in Vegas. One 23 minute charging session. And I'll be sitting here relaxing as FSD drives us the entire way safely.
English

@potus18_grant @rhensing I’m curious which EV ur talking about losing 60% in the cold. And what temps?
Most modern EV r much better in cold than original. Most have heat pumps, battery management software, etc.
English

@cheers1964 @rhensing Drive from Minneapolis to New York City in January and come back and complain how many GD times you had to stop and charge and wait for an outlet to open…you get a 60% reduction in range in the cold due to heating use.
English

@JustAFamilyMan_ I disagree. EXCEPT for a few key states. Namely the Blue Wall states (MI, PA, WI). Those states traditionally vote blue for the last 20+ years. Only flipping red when it was HRC and Harris. That cost the elections.
All red states same. But PA is not CA. And MI is not OR

Can everyone please be real for once? Time and time again, the U.S. has shown that it is not ready for any woman that is a Democrat to win. Also, you think the U.S. is ready to support a gay man too? Ppl need to be realistic about what the U.S. is and stop living in lala land.
America First Now 🇺🇸@AmericaFirsst
🚨BREAKING: Many Dems are now leaning towards a Harris / Buttigieg ticket for 2028. What's your reaction?

Are people seriously mad that HEB carries Halal meat or is this manufactured social media outrage? What’s the point in being mad about something that literally does not affect you in any way? I don’t get it? Is it that you’re mad they sell something that mostly caters to a non-Christian’s diet? Are you also against kosher foods? I have so many questions…
English

@TampaIvan @DevinOlsenn Dude, I’ve had one for 10 years, the other 2. Ur creating a problem that most don’t see as a problem.
U find driving unbearable? Cool. U found a solution. I’m glad. I never find driving unbearable.
Again, less than 15% of Tesla owners have FSD. If u can’t convince them…
English

@cheers1964 @DevinOlsenn Cool, Let's hear about how enjoyable you find it to manually shift gears in traffic. Now thats a manufactured fantasy.
English

Is there something I’m missing?
How can people spend 2+ hours a day commuting and then come home and call me stupid for using FSD.
There’s no reasonable person on earth that can sit in traffic for an hour driving manually and at the end of their drive be like “hell yeah, let’s do that again everyday mon-fri until I retire!”
English

@TampaIvan @DevinOlsenn Lastly, I special ordered both my vehicles so I could get 3 peddle driving. This stuff about “all people have to be like Tesla driver” really should stop. Less than 15% of actual Tesla owner buy or have bought FSD. That might be a better place to start.
English

@cheers1964 @DevinOlsenn You've clearly never used it, otherwise you would know that when you drive the same route everyday you learn where you need to assist and when you can just relax while watching out the front window. I've only driven 7% of the time the last 5,000 miles.
English

@TampaIvan @DevinOlsenn And yes, I’ve been in multiple vehicles w/various types of advanced drivers aids. Including Tesla. Most work well depending on what they’re designed to do.
Thats moot. We have no autonomous system in the US. Thus (unless u want to break the law) u must actively supervise.
English

@TampaIvan @DevinOlsenn Again, u can say anything u want. The system per Musk, per Tesla, per law, REQUIRES u to be actively supervising at ALL times. Ready to take over at any second.
It doesn’t matter how many (or how few) times u do have to take over. Or how many miles u have driven.
English

@niccruzpatane That doesn’t explain why Tesla (and Ford and GM on majority of vehicles) r so slow in DC fast charging.
This is 2026. 10%-80% in under 19m should b the norm. Not the exception.
English

Exactly. My average charging stop during road trips is usually only ~20-25 minutes.
People think you charge from 0-100% at every stop, that’s not the quickest or most efficient way.
By the time you get some food and take a break, the car is ready.

Lincoln@MobofJoggers
But electric cars you have to charge forever. Salt Lake City to the Sphere in Vegas. One 23 minute charging session. And I'll be sitting here relaxing as FSD drives us the entire way safely.

Over 5 years, Tesla police vehicles cost 4x less to run vs gas counterparts
LaoZhu@tomzhu_nz
Police Vehicle Operating Cost Tesla 5yr of $19k, Explorer 5yr of $84k up.fit/comparison/
English

@ElijahSchaffer Agree. If we were a 3rd world country with no resources to assist.
Oh we are the richest country in the world and u want to let people die in the streets.
No.
English

@sola_chad It’s very weird u think women need a “factory reset”. Maybe u also think they need a reboot (crl alt delete) or software upgrade for things they don’t agree with u?
English

@AndrewZywiecMD No. The post is disgusting.
But go on tell me that there is no abuse among heterosexual couples. Even with their own off spring. Dare u
English

@Real___iTamara Bad take. Children need loving parents. Anyone, not matter who they are can be loving parents.
English

@SawyerMerritt @elonmusk Is this a joke? Tesla moved from “communist” CA to “freedom” TX.
It’s against the law for Tesla to sell a new vehicle in Texas.
🤦♂️
English

Tesla is suing the state of North Dakota because the state won't allow the company to open any showrooms/service centers and sell direct to consumers.
North Dakota law prohibits vehicle manufacturers from owning car dealerships and requires them to sell their products to franchised dealerships for resale to consumers.
“Tesla just wants to be able to sell its vehicles in North Dakota, and not force customers who would wish to purchase a Tesla vehicle to have to drive to Minnesota or another state to do it,” said Ari Holtzblatt, one of Tesla’s attorneys in the case.
Tesla is asking the court to declare the company does not fall within the definition of manufacturer contained in state law. The term is defined as a person who assembles or imports a motor vehicle and sells it to dealers in the state for resale.
It's wild that in 2026, we still have U.S. states that won't allow direct vehicle sales to consumers. It hurts consumers and reduces choice.

English

@wmorrill3 There is some question about that. EV owners say they will never go back, but trade in’s potentially tell a different story. EV’s are regularly traded for ICE. Now, maybe they still have a 2nd EV vehicle.
I’m pro EV. But I don’t think we want to just assume they r some magic.

Why would anyone buy a brand new Toyota Corolla for like 40k when you can buy a few years old high specced BMW????
jack friks@jackfriks
i didn't make $50,000 last month, but $40,000 will do.
