This is Beal bs all over again. 2 sgs ≠ winning ball. Brooks evened it out with Collin at pg bc he’s a real sf strong enough to play the 4

Starting to think the Suns would be better if they had Dillon Brooks, Mark Williams, Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale or Haywood Highsmith available.

@SunsAreBetter He should be starting now. It is sabotaging his best players having them essentially his 3/4 against a big Toronto team. He might list Goodwin as a forward but he’s 6’3”. D Book is 6’6” and he’s the 2nd tallest player. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Rasheer Fleming has to be a starter by Game 1 next season (and I think he even has a case this season), right? He’s shown enough this season to fully invest in his development by the start of next season.

@Ronwebb_55 @dbookownsyou Should becoming off the bench. He’s not even productive with both Book and JG for the same reason Beal wasn’t w/ KD&Book. Still trying to figure out why Jordan Ott is allergic to starting more than 1 player above 6’7”.

Jalen Green is a good player. But for this team, he’s not it. Booker needs a point guard. He’s not on Luka or SGA level to be a PG and SG. Book is just a SG. His playmaking is mid and takes away from his game. Don’t get me started on Books decision making. He’s lost all his fire. I’ve watched Book for countless years and I’ve never seen him this trash before

@dbookownsyou Jalen Green is great on this team. Should be him Book starting with 2 proper wings. It’s literally hurting everyone’s production and the rotations from there suck. Book starting at the 4 the last 2 games is asinine.

@ErikRuby Starting to think Ott is compounding that problem starting Book at the 4 next to 3pgs. I don’t care how big Goodwin plays, he’s still 6’3”. Throw Rasheer into the fire and balance your lineup.

Realistic goal challenge a contender and prob lose in the first round. Trade a pair of Royce/Green/Grayson/Dunn/Oso for a real 4 in the offseason or hope Fleming takes a leap.

@ErikRuby @PHNX_Suns Grayson & O'Neil are part of Ott's small ball rotation. They'd still be losing. Suns were playing better with Manman, Dunn & Fleming.

@BennyCollectz @ErikRuby Book was shooting well recently. Ott is doing an extreme disservice when he’s the 2nd tallest guy in the lineup like the last 2 games have started. I love Goody and he plays big but he’s still 6’3”. So he’s pretty much playing PF with 3 point guards.

Sneaky feeling Booker would not have played tonight if every game weren’t so vital at this point. Seems like he’s just laboring out there

@FrenchValleyFR @theIVpointplay Maluach and Fleming weren’t even in the rotation a month ago, you’ll get flashes but not sustained at this point. Oso is ok in space, but overpowered by a 6’8” guy, and gives up way too many And 1. You also are unplayable if you’re going 1/6 on free throws

@theIVpointplay Length should not be a problem. Not when you have guys like Maluach, Fleming, Ighodaro, Williams etc. Somehow, your power forward is a midget who defends like Isaiah Thomas defends a guard

Teams with length still the big concern for Suns. Most of their bad losses lean that way this season. They’ve found some new pieces to counteract that, so this home stretch important to find what they trust.

@porkfoot_master @ErikRuby It’s early but the more minutes I see from both KM and RF I like what’s being built. Rasheer def got that dog and his 3 and rim finishing both pass the early tests. Really excited to see how they do on this roadie.

@chefkman89 @ErikRuby He got them and impressed. You can see why the Suns took him. With Jokic, Wemby, Holmgren and a super sized Rockets team, I would have chosen him over Coward, as well. Flemming look like he is staring a t firing squad when he is at the free throw line. May be a problem

@porkfoot_master @ErikRuby Doubtful, and unnecessary. That’s not his future role with this team. If there was ever a game to get Man Man minutes this would be it.

@ErikRuby Flemming will probably play Center. I think he played some center last game and did fairly well. Not sure who the Bulls backup center is though. Flemming is useful, he can play 3, 4 or 5. That is huge for injuries.

Steve Kerr thinks Jonathan Kuminga needs to be Shawn Marion typa guy, comparing his situation to Aaron Gordon's in Orlando: "I've always felt like the type of player JK needs to be is, I've mentioned this in the past, Shawn Marion is a guy who jumps out. And I talked about this JK's rookie year, you know, with his athleticism, running the floor, putting pressure on the rim, offensive rebounds, getting into the dunker, the drop off pass from drivers, going up and dunking and guarding everybody at the other end. To me that's what he's really built for. And we've really pushed him in that direction. And I think sometimes with young players, there's a process. [Aaron Gordon] is a good example. He spent years in Orlando where he really wanted to be the scorer and the lead guy and had some success like JK has, but maybe didn't really find his role and find himself until later."
