100% of people are chasing the next hot thing. Meanwhile, history tells us where returns have consistently come from. It may not repeat exactly, but markets have a habit of rhyming.

Global money supply is on the rise again. Yet gold is not following. I was fascinated by the chart from @TaviCosta (second chart) showing that global money supply and the price of gold have historically moved closely together. As you can see, the two have clearly decoupled. To me, that points to a compelling opportunity to start investing in gold (still few investors hold a position in gold), or to increase your existing allocation. In my book, The Great Rebalancing, I examined the relationship between changes in global money supply and the price of gold. As the chart below (first chart) shows, the correlation between money supply growth and the change in the gold price over the following twelve months has historically been remarkably strong. With governments now entering a period of massive debt refinancing, roughly five years after COVID triggered an unprecedented surge in public debt, significant liquidity (meaning money supply growth) will be needed to ensure these refinancings do not destabilize the financial system. I am convinced that, simply to avoid another financial crisis, global money supply will have to keep expanding. If history is any guide and the gap between gold and money supply eventually closes, the upside for gold looks to be substantial. I don't know when that will materialize. I don't have a crystal ball. What I do know is that the odds of continued money supply growth are high. Combined with the historically extremely strong relationship between future money supply growth and changes in the price of gold, that gives me strong conviction that the current disconnect between gold and global money supply cannot persist.

Technically correct, but the verbiage on breaching the maturity barrier really makes you have to think. @VistaSharesX has some nice writeups that might clean up the verbiage on breaching the maturity barrier. vegasharesetfs.com/resource

I see everyone is following $CHPY and $SOXY right down. Someone even called it a Rooky move for me to move out of Semi at a huge profit. You know, the person who still works for a living and did not retire early. Keep following it down and not rotating for diversification, and never retire early.
