So excited to see this publication about DFB’s efforts!! I’m honored to have been a part of the course— especially piloting the summer program in 2021 and 2022!! Read all about it below!!
Development@Dev_journal

Jacqueline Graniel, Jessica Teitel, Benjamin Allen, et al. describe @DFB_UM, a trainee-led, #devbio programme that engages undergrads from underserved communities. With DFB flourishing at @UMich, they encourage others to create their own programmes. journals.biologists.com/dev/article/15…

Had an amazing time being part of this effort! We were able to harness the power of publicly available scRNA-Seq and revisited (through new analysis) both fundamental and emerging concepts in keratin biology! An endless wealth of information that we're only starting to tap into.

New Publication by @Erez_Co and Craig Johnson from the @PierreCoulombe8 Lab! "Revisiting the significance of keratin expression in complex epithelia" published in the @J_Cell_Sci. #CDB #umichCDB

I cannot recommend the experience of being a DFB instructor enough! Two years on the team taught me so much about lab planning, mentoring, and dev bio!!

Earth’s climate is giving air fryer. A plague kills thousands daily and bosses still asked folks to risk death for their check. Six people decided a uterus was state property. Gas is higher than Whole Foods almond milk. But your political anger is reserved for trans people?

I spent the last 6 months planning DFB 2022 with my teammates in @DFB_UM, and we held the course this past week. I was expecting it to be fun, but honestly I am still blown away by our fantastic students— and I’d like to tell you a little bit about them.
