Good evening. To all my new(and not so new) followers: My name is Renatta. I’m 45 years old and I live in a small town outside Charlotte, NC. I am a conservative Christian who loves God, my family, and my country, in that order. I became a Christian in 1989 when I was 8. Later that year, my father died unexpectedly leaving my mom to raise two young children on her own. When I was 13, I started having seizures and was eventually diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1(NF1), a rare neurological disorder which causes benign tumors to form on the nerves. When I was in my 20s, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I also have chronic migraines and vertigo. Throughout all this, I refuse to be a victim. The left may try to get me to be one, but I refuse to play their game. I am instead a fighter. I trust God all the way. He is my strength. It is in Jesus Christ that I have hope. I see my sufferings as testimony that Jesus is always faithful, and His grace is sufficient for what I need. I will always trust Him. But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9
