I seen a guy here on X that was making a y drop but it was more lightweight than 360 ydrops. He was running 120’ I don’t remember what he called them. He was a farmer just starting to make them. Any help?

Fertility is one of the few places in an operation where much can be wasted, BUT much can also be gained. And the system (or lack of) you choose has a lot to do with losing or gaining. Next week, @Devinjbaker, @sean_nettleton, @baker_travis41, and I will be hitting the road, doing 2 meetings a day, to showcase the system that: •Increases fertilizer efficiency •Increases ROI •Helps build soils that cycle on their own We will talk about Agronomy 365, Baseline Rx, and the BW product solution line that allows you to do more with less. If you want more info, please reach out! Hope to see some of you there

How many soil samples do you look at each year? And what have you learned from them (in a comment below)?

@Kyle_Olson_ @FaithLois12 I’ve noticed different weed species and densities in different zones. I haven’t tried to correlate it back to nutrient but seems reasonable think there would be.

@FaithLois12 Any predictions on the soil test based on the weed growing (dandelions)?

Management Zones Your zones are only as good as the soil test used. You can have the best zones in the world, but if your test only measures the chemical side of the soil (Bray, Olsen, AA, Mehlich), you’ll keep chasing ppm values that don’t tell the whole story. You will just be managing numbers, not the system. The field changes. The biology changes. The chemistry changes. Your soil test should reflect all three. That’s why Baseline Rx starts by asking the soil what it can actually provide. Doing this allows for nutrient efficiency and getting more out of every fertility dollar spent.

As you prepare for corn fungicide season, be sure carrier pH levels are adjusted to recommended level of the product you are using. Fungicides are the most susceptible of all crop protection products to carrier pH. You are spending the $$ to apply a "full rate", be sure pH is adjusted so you don't get half rate or less efficacy due to breakdown in the tank!! Check out chart below on 1/2 life of CP products at different pH levels.

Potassium deficiency on incredibly good looking corn??? This time of year I often get pics sent on what looks like potassium deficiency on a lower leaf or two when the rest of the plant looks picture perfect. What is actually occurring is that stalk diameter is increasing to a point where the lower leaf collars can't stretch enough to get all the way around the stalk. The plant is smart enough to know the leaf will soon fall off so it is pulling the nutrients out of the leaf before that occurs! Pics are from a plot where potassium levels are very high... No worries on this folks!!

Top 2 plants have 9-18-9 with 16 oz of Amino. 4 gallon rate Bottom 2 have 9-18-9 at 5 gallon. Taking a gallon out and adding Amino is virtually same cost per acre. P10811AM hybrid pictured.
