@ManagingBarca I don't think it's about the profile. Flick's system would benefit more if the amount of money is spent on a quality striker. We need a lethal striker first and foremost, someone like Osimhen. Sign Rashford, Cancelo and one among either Senesi or Van De Ven.

@opimpibar1 PSG have both the depth and can rest their players during the season. We neither have the money to increase our squad depth, nor an easy league to compete in and rest the players. Barcelona does press highly, just not as high as PSG.

We have a very young squad, so why can't they press like PSG?

Dani Olmo will be 28 by the end of the week, yet if you watch him play, he often renembles an inexperienced prospect more than an established pro. If anything, the fact he’s been fit for most of the season makes it worse. Can’t hide behind the cloak of unavailability. I’m sorry, but he’s nowhere near consistent enough for a big money signing.

@NealGardner_ Targets: Loan/sign Cancelo. Sign Bastoni. Sign Osimhen. If still some funds remain, sign this guy and a winger who can play on both flanks. Sell: Casado, Ter Stegen, Christensen, Olmo (if we do get a proper replacement) and one of either Ferran or Lewa.

Would be a nice upgrade on Casado if we can cash out, but all the reports I’ve seen suggest AZ’s asking price is a bit ridiculous. He’s obviously a big Barça fan, tho. Makes a huge difference.

@NealGardner_ On loan, he'd be fine. But paying 30M for an inconsistent player isn't worth it. I'd rather see Barcelona try for either Martinelli or Mitoma as their contracts are expiring in 2027.

@igdropz @ManagingBarca Yamal is very good at pressing. Idk what these people are saying. He not just presses but is actually good at it. Not AS much as Raphinha, but he definitely does press whenever needed. I don't think Flick would play anyone who doesn't press properly all the time.

@ManagingBarca raphinha has to be everywhere because lewas press is so weak and lamine also doesn’t press much which doesn’t make it any better, ferran coming on changed the game bc he could press and obviously rashford a natural winger helps us out

Both obviously great players, but I think it’s very funny that Jude gets labelled as “complete” while Pedri doesn’t. That’s objectively very far from the truth.

@NealGardner_ His stats are no doubt very good but his defensive contribution is very weak, compared to Raphinha and Yamal. His off the ball movement is not consistently good. In this Barca system, an attacker will always thrive, we have to look at other things before deciding to sign him.

Lewandowski aside, I’m very confident in saying Fermin is our best finisher. So, so composed in front of goal.

@NoTomsyo @NealGardner_ Ferran and Rashford too. But they have a few bad games. The same was the case with Fermin last season. He did everything very well but somehow forgot to finish properly even though he always did take his chances. I love this redemption of him.

@NealGardner_ Our best finishers are: - Fermin - Rapha - Lewa - Pedri when he feels like it.

@Alexander_divi @FabrizioRomano Yes but no. Barca outplayed PSG in the first half, they should've easily scored 3 goals but missed their chances. The same goes with PSG in the second half. Neither played their best game but both did well and weren't clinical.
