MSU agriculture researchers successfully sequenced the tart cherry genome to find which genes assist with late blooming. The resulting genome sequence was "beautifully complex" and can make the breeding of related species more efficient. statenews.com/article/2023/0…

Last week, my lab started a project focusing on (re)planting practices in blueberry. It was a bit surreal watching 75-year-old plants being removed. Lots of history there, both farmed and U-picked by multiple generations. Thanks for your help, @cheyenneisol!
