@chief1541 @TimGossage Chief - please. A competition must be run in line with its own rules. And the AFL can't do anything else, otherwise they'll (rightly) get pumped in Court. Should the rules be tougher? Absolutely.

I have watched the Pickett bump over and over again. Throw out the points and categories and give him a stint on the sidelines. Launched, straight down the middle and high. Does he only get suspended if Smith leaves on a stretcher.

@kanechrism @TimGossage Incorrect Chris. With the impending class action, the fore mentioned ( bump ) will and must be dealt with harshly. So yes, the rules will and must ( I my opinion ) be thrown out the window. And rightly so.

@TimGossage Melbourne supporter here. It was an ordinary hit and probably warrants a suspension...but to throw out the rules to provide the outcome you want is the worst possible take. And would see the AFL humiliated, either by its own appeals board or a proper Court.
