Wen Dan Fodio conquered Hausaland, he justified his campaign by accusing many of its rulers & communities of practicing beliefs & customs he considered pagan or contrary to Islam. Now, I had like to ask: what evils were those so-called pagan ancestors committing,,,

@MasterMaliq Prophet Mohammed had more qualities than Jesus; he was a warrior, a husband and a father. Jesus was none of these.

There is NO quality Jesus has that Prophet Muhammad doesn’t also have. Both are eternal blessings to humanity.

A Nigerian Earning ₦60 Thousand Now is Better Off Than a Nigerian Who Japa Five Years Ago — Presidential Aide, Daniel Bwala Special adviser to the president on media and policy communications, Daniel Bwala has said that many Nigerians who moved abroad in search of greener pastures are facing harsh economic realities despite holding advanced degrees. Speaking on The Morayo Show, Bwala said some Nigerians in the United Kingdom are working jobs that do not match their educational qualifications. “Some of you in Nigeria who think you are suffering, you’re better off than your colleagues that japa five years ago,” Bwala said. He described the situation as a form of modern-day exploitation, noting that many degree holders end up working in care homes and warehouses. “As far as I am concerned, it is modern-day slavery,” he stated. According to him, although workers may earn about £2,600 to £2,800 monthly, most of the income is spent on rent, utilities, internet, transportation, and feeding, leaving little savings. “At the end of the day, what you are left with is not much. So you are forced to do two or three jobs,” he said. Bwala argued that a Nigerian earning ₦60,000 locally could still benefit from family support and lower living costs compared to someone struggling abroad. “That ₦60,000 earner can still get support from family and friends, while many abroad have nobody to fall back on,” he added. He also defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s social intervention policies, citing the 50 percent subsidy on dialysis in federal hospitals and the provision of free cesarean sections in public health facilities. “President Bola Tinubu introduced 50 percent subsidy on dialysis in federal hospitals, and cesarean section has been made free in public hospitals,” Bwala said. He added that the administration hopes to expand healthcare support to more services and prescription drugs as government resources improve.

My woman would dress this way, so only my selfish eyes could behold her and only my selfish hands could touch her. I’m so possessive that I’m even jealous of the sun for daring to kiss her skin with its rays.

What is even more concerning is that this statement comes from a former military officer. Comments like this contribute to the insecurity problem in Nigeria by promoting helplessness rather than responsibility, action, and accountability.

A post like this reveals a lot. It appears intentionally designed to weaken the morale of both Nigerian soldiers and civilians. In Nigeria, whenever we decide to leave something entirely to God, it is often because we have already accepted defeat in addressing it ourselves.

My perception of the painting may trouble you, but the hands that painted it deserve far more attention than the eyes that see it.

Why do you worry so much about my perception of the painting while neglecting the painter? If the actions carried out in the name of your faith do not concern you, but criticism of those actions does, then perhaps you are focusing on the wrong problem.

Emotional intelligence is the highest form of intelligence needed or necessary to govern a people, especially in a country like Nigeria where humans have been denied basic rights for so long that Basic rights now seems like luxury.

That is why I struggle to understand how some people are able to kill and eat an animal whose defining trait is loyalty to humanity. To me, a dog feels more like a companion than a meal. While different cultures have different traditions,,,

I find it unsettling how some people manage to betray the friendship and loyalty of dogs, often called "man's best friend." A dog never gets tired of looking at your face, never complains, and will still wag its tail at you even when it is hungry. It celebrates your victories,,,

@DanKatsina50 @thebardogbamola Oga remove dat Major Gen in ur statement. If u want 2 make sense, don't include his status, bcos if we must b reasonable, 9ja is in a mess because of people like them. Anyways, no one deserves 2 be in d hands of bandits, except those who created, supported or defended them.

Much as we would all like to pretend that banditry in Nigeria has nothing to do with religion, patterns do not lie. Once Islam settled in the northern part of Nigeria, not entirely through peaceful means, it gradually spread toward the Middle Belt,,,
