In all seriousness though, using research to set up the customers for the flow desk is a pro move, straight out of the Goldman playbook. Goldman's gonna sue on the basis that "Hey, you can't out squid The Squid!"

@EdwardDiGi @jukan05 That’s my point. SK has lost a few hundred bn in mkt cap yet the ceo only buys 3mm usd worth? For a man worth 3-5bn usd that number is not in proportion to his net worth or that of the company mkt cap.

We will rue the day we let this Monster into our markets. SK is more about margin calls and gambling than it is about DRAM pricing and capacity additions

Sergey Brin is worth $276 billion. He could save healthcare for 3 million people. Instead, he’s spending $82 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax. He’d rather see low-income Americans die & suffer than pay his fair share of taxes. That is a moral obscenity.

I think if you take it at face value and don’t assume that LTAs get broken/renegotiated then it is bearish (for sentiment at least) since now you have both sides of the equation exploring downside mitigation. Memory makers via LTAs and memory buyers (that have LTAs in place in order to secure allocations) looking at downside hedges. If prices are really expected to go up strongly with great certainty then neither side would be looking at downside protection.

I don’t understand why the news that CoreWeave is considering put options is being interpreted as bearish. Isn’t it actually bullish news, since it implies that the LTAs would remain in place even if memory prices collapse? Historically, wasn’t the standard response to terminate or renegotiate LTAs when memory prices fell sharply, even if an agreement had already been signed? But if CoreWeave would still be required to purchase memory at the contracted LTA price even after a market price collapse—and therefore needs to explore hedging options—then I think the paradoxical conclusion is that these LTAs have become much more binding and durable. Memory is still cheap.

QUESTION MARK: One of Elon’s companies has limited employee token usage to just $200 per week, while another Elon company is saying everyone will use so much AI that we’ll need space data centers because Earth will run out of power, plus TeraFabs to produce a terawatt of chips per year. How does this even make sense?

I think you are giving too much credit to BofA… This period till monthend has historically been technically weak for stocks. Coupled with the fact that Korea is pretty leveraged on just a few names then this kind of move is not that surprising. Their call for 3 hikes by the Fed is on the more hawkish side sure but could the they hike at least a couple times this year? Why not.
