@jeremyct Average rent where I live is $1800 for a 2 bed apartment and $2300 for a 3 bed house. 2 income households are a necessity.

average rent is around $3k. you’re “supposed” to make 3x that… so about $9k a month, $108k a year. meanwhile the average salary in the U.S. is like $51k. yeah… the math just isn’t mathing.

@BitcoinSapiens I miss the early 90's. My half of the rent was $225. $40 for utilities, my monthly food budget was $50 and I pretty well. I was a bartender making bank in a 3 day work week.

I genuinely feel sad that current 20 something's missed the era of $500 rent, $3 happy hour, 5 bags of groceries for under $100, multiple job offers immediately after applying, and going out to party without social media apps at your fingertips. IT WAS A TIME.

@be_like_ice 80 percent of ER workers and paramedics probably have ADHD, so do a lot of firefighters and cops.

Question: Do you judge people for living in a trailer? 😅 My husband and I are thinking about buying some land and putting a double wide on it. But I'm not gonna lie... the stigma of living in a trailer is definitely in the back of my mind. I don't tend to care what people think for the most part, but this is something that gets me.

I’m paying close to $300 a tank to run my truck. And that’s not including gas for farm activity. I have a farm. I can’t haul any livestock ANYWHERE. Neither can my neighbors who have cattle. One of them sold all his cattle and he’s out of the business. I know many farmers who grow hay, wheat, pumpkin, corn, cattle and they’re going under. People do not understand how much trouble we are in as a country.
