WHERE you were born and WHO raised you after you were born are the two major determinants of your religion, whether you like it or not. It is not about truth, it is about which truth you were taught. Hate nobody, it is no one's fault you are not on the same side. -Sadam Ibrahim

Remembering how Holla at Your Boy (2010) is how deeply it’s tied to Wizkid being discovered and shaped by Banky W. At the time, Wizkid was just a teenager recording demos in Lagos when Banky W signed him to Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). “Holla at Your Boy” wasn’t just a random debut, it was carefully crafted as a launch record to introduce a new kind of Nigerian pop star: young, stylish, and globally appealing. Banky W didn’t just sign Wizkid; he reportedly helped shape his sound, image, and even parts of the songwriting direction during that early phase. Over time, fans and insiders began arguing that Banky W’s role in “creating” Wizkid was overstated, while others insisted Wizkid’s raw talent would have blown up regardless. That tension eventually spilled into real issues Wizkid later left E.M.E, and there were rumors of disagreements over money, credit, and control. Even though both sides have publicly downplayed the conflict, the debate still lingers: was Wizkid “made” by Banky W or did he simply outgrow the system that introduced him?

“Adesua was actually the one who asked me to be her husband. She kept me in the friend zone for a long time, so I stopped pushing and simply prayed to God to touch her heart. After a year and a few months, she finally called me ‘my husband’—and that’s it” — Banky W

@DavidHundeyin @teebabah First, nobody should take any documentary from the neocons as anything other than a cognitive warfare to implant division. Secondly, the xenophobia in South Africa was/is created by the Boers who controls the economy, who places premium on immigrants over indigenes deliberately.

It's very instructive how a British state-funded broadcaster, at a time when Pan-African nationalism is morphing from a dated, irrelevant ideology into a modern political movement with real power, chooses this time to air a documentary about how Africans allegedly hate Africans. If you watch that thing, you might come away with the idea that anti-migrant anger is the defining conversation of black South Africans. Except you are trained to spot and understand propaganda, you might not realise that through the course of its entire 51-minute runtime, this group of pathetic weirdos never at any point exceeds maybe 200. Meanwhile South Africa's black population is roughly 50 million people. We are being visually instructed by a broadcaster funded by the Foreign Office of an ex-colonial power that we "hate" each other. The basis of this mental programming is a couple of hundred disaffected weirdos, most of whom aren't even willing to appear on camera. They even made sure to capture one of the weirdos crying about how she hates foreigners, and made that both the documentary trailer and the YouTube thumbnail. Just in case you forgot that "Africans hate each other." This is just like when the exact same broadcaster put out a documentary in 2010 called "Welcome To Lagos," which spent approximately 90 of its 118-minute runtime inside a small shanty community on a landfill site on the outskirts of Lagos. They lodged at Federal Palace Hotel for several weeks and enjoyed the entire range of what Lagos and its $120bn economy had to offer, while driving across the city everyday to Olusosun Refuse Dump to capture prime African Poverty Porn which was then labelled "Welcome To Lagos." Old habits.

Why do some men think their birthdays are no big deal? I mean you made mine fun… so why can’t you celebrate yours? This man mentioned casually that he’s never had a birthday party before . So I suggested we celebrate his 30th.. now why did he just shrugged and said “no need”?? I’ve made up my mind still… even if it’s a private dinner with his immediate family or am I over stepping??

@detomasc @Shasheen_ What you call "God" could just be a great sense of "self awareness". Some of the most coordinated and vision-driven people I know don't even believe in God, to start with. They just know exactly what they want from life, go for it, and excel.

My friend asked me to lend her 10k. I tried to transfer from my bank app but it kept reversing. Because I was busy, I gave her my ATM to go withdraw at a POS across the street... Next thing I received a debit alert of 30k... She came back smiling and said "babe you get money ooooo.... Abeg na 30k I withdraw.... That's the actual amount I need... I go pay you" I was infuriated and asked her why she checked my account balance and even withdrew more than she asked for... We had an argument and next thing she threw the entire money on my table and left.... Please did I do anything wrong questioning why she checked my account balance and took more than she asked for???

My senior colleague slapped a corps member doing her PPA in our organization today, and before we could even blink, she slapped him back twice. This is a man we all fear in the office; no one can even look him straight in the eye. Yet everywhere was quiet today, and we closed work like every other day. I'm still trying to put the whole scenario together. What could have happened to my senior colleague??
