It was a surreally odd interview. The microphone man deliberately flipped my collar up, and as I was walking toward the sofa punched me in the kidneys. When the interview was over, total silence descended. I politely said good-bye and walked out. No one said a word. The hatred was astonishing.

To spend an interview with the Leader of the Opposition on a supposedly serious news programme beating her up for not watching a particular TV drama (not a documentary as they kept calling it) is quite surreal. Ms Badenoch politely held her ground well. I would have been rather more robust with the interlocutors.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have publicly named a man and disclosed his street address and local area after he was charged with allegedly burning pages of the Quran — despite the clear and immediate risks posed to those accused of blasphemy by radical Islamists. The 47-year-old man has today pleaded guilty to causing racially and religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm, and distress after setting fire to the Islamic holy book in Manchester city centre, during a livestream on social media. Given the well-documented dangers faced by those accused of blasphemy, the FSU believes GMP should have liaised with the CPS before making these personal details public. @NoContextBrits Why is the Yorkshire accent lumped in as one? Someone from Hull doesn't sound anything remotely like someone from Hebden Bridge and same can be said from top to bottom whitby to Sheffield isn't even close, infact the differences in dialect within 20 miles differ due ancestory
