I have listened to your concerns and I understand your sentiment around this. I want to add more context to my earlier post. The document currently circulating is an outdated internal training document. It is not an HR policy. That said, it contained an incorrect line about bindi/tilak that should never have been written and does not reflect our values or actual practice. When we discovered this on February 17, well before this became a public conversation, we immediately removed it. But I should have caught this earlier. As Founder and CEO, the responsibility for such lapses is mine. I have asked my team to bring all such materials under stricter review, and I will personally ensure this is addressed going forward. We are also looking into how this found its way into our training content. Let me be absolutely clear. Lenskart does not and will never restrict any form of respectful religious expression. This includes bindi, tilak, or any such symbols of faith. Our team members have always been, and will always be, free to express their beliefs with pride. I also want to thank everyone who raised this. Your voice helps us improve and stay true to what we stand for.

Have you ever heard the term "Adhyatma Jih@d" (Spiritual Jih@d)? There was once a certain "Ashu Maharaj"; Hindus would organize his spiritual discourses and donate hundreds of thousands of rupees to him. However, when he was arrested due to his criminal misdeeds, his true identity was revealed as Asif Moh@mmed Khan. This is precisely what is known as "Adhyatma Jih@d." In the same vein, "Sri M" ought to explain why he chose to name his children Roshan Ali and Aisha Ali—especially given that he claims to be a Hindu Guru. Mumtaz Ali Khan was born on November 6, 1949. In his childhood, he was a devout follower of the Is/$lamic faith. Today, he is also known by the name "Sri M"—or *Sri Madhukar Nath*—and is recognized as an Indian Yogi, spiritual guide, speaker, and educationist. He is a follower of the Nath tradition within Hinduism and a disciple of Sri Maheshwarnath Babaji, who himself was a disciple of Sri Guru Babaji. Sri M currently resides in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh, India. Sri M spent a significant amount of time associated with both the Ramakrishna Mission and the Krishnamurti Foundation. It was during his association with the Foundation that he met his future wife, Sunanda Sanadi—who is today known as Sunanda Ali. The couple has two adult children: Roshan Ali and Aisha Ali. The most critical question remains: why did he choose the names Roshan Ali and Aisha Ali—especially after having fully embraced the mantle of spirituality and the identity of a Yogi? Even today, there are numerous spiritual gurus who are Muslim by birth yet roam about posing as Hindu religious leaders under assumed names. However, those who are Mu$lim yet conduct *Bhagavat Kathas* (discourses on the Bhagavat Purana), *Gau Kathas* (discourses on the sanctity of the cow), or other *Puranic* discourses are nothing but impostors treading the path of "Adhyatma Jih@d." It is imperative that they be identified and exposed. Any individual—even an ex-Mu$lim—who lacks the courage to critically examine the Quran and declare the truth as truth and falsehood as falsehood; who does not actively propagate the teachings of the Vedas; and who fails to name his children in accordance with Sanatan culture or impart Vedic education to them—such a person, you may rest assured, is merely pursuing the path of "Adhyatma Jih@d" for the sake of filling his own sinful belly.
