Its annoying that my tireless team of little computer people made out of statistical models that predict words based on the corpus of all human language & thus are reasonable approximations of a compression of the knowledge of humanity take 15 minutes or so to complete some tasks

The best robotics wedge nobody’s talking about:
Industry-specific form factor → teleop deployment → proprietary workflow data → agentic automation layer on top built into the systems of the end customer → full autonomy explodes margin over time
Lower COGs than general-purpose humanoids.
Real revenue on day one.
Switching costs before you’ve touched autonomy.
Distribution, cost structure, process power, counter-positioning and cornered resources are moats.
Robots aren’t exempt from this.

AI collapsed time-to-clone from 18 months to 18 hours. The feature gap closed; the distribution gap didn't.
The investable part was never the code. It was everything around it.

The key question becomes: which moats are truly durable and which moats erode over time (and how quickly). Based on this, why are the operational imperatives for a software business?

I’d phrase it differently: pure software with no distribution edge is dying. That’s why mixing services+own IP works so well: services give you distribution and insight, product captures repeatable value. If you’re building ‘just another SaaS’, you better have a tornado behind you or a wedge into a messy enterprise reality. Question: what is your non-copyable advantage when everyone can ship features in a weekend?

@GavinSBaker Switching costs are too high for existing Twitter users to leave the platform for Threads. People who aren’t on Twitter and have an Insta account can easily port their network over to Threads. Maybe brands will like it because they can control post visibility… but if no 👀 no 🤑
