@pelinkaburner this is a terrible roster construction, Rob Pelinka is by far better then all you mfs you talk shit about him putting together a roster cause the shit i come across from y’all on here is insane
One scenario of how the Lakers offseason *can* go.
Pretty sure all cap rules, aprons etc are considered and should valid:
Notes:
1. Bron pay-cut for final shot at title
2. Order of all signings/moves matters
3. Some room to work, can add more vet min slots
@Scamlikelynine@TTukez00@fearedlaker this guy brings up a xmas day game & Steven fucking Adams? gtfoh “best rebounding team” ok congratulations here’s two fucks we don’t give niggas always throwing in laughing emoji like they have a valid point, you sound illiterate asf stop talking to me cause clearly you dk hoops
@chiveryownk@TTukez00@fearedlaker nigga said delusional thanks for telling me u don’t know hoops😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️. Best rebounding team in nba history with steve btw. We also beat y’all fully healthy on christmas idiots
@legoatjames_6@RyanLucas_LA he’s getting bullied and too much fouling, maxi adds size and toughness but no offense spark prob just stick with Hayes unless they go small with Vando at center
@chiveryownk@RyanLucas_LA Hayes is also playing meaningless mins but at the C position there’s not many options behind ayton. Maybe Kleber eating into some Hayes mins?
Ime snatched JJ's chain last night.
JJ has to take some risks. His post season challenge last year was being too stubborn and when lineups werent working, continued forcing certain rotation guys. You have Smith Jr., Adou, Dalton, and Maxi on the bench also.
The way the Rockets have been pushing pace and adjusted to taking advantage of youth as a "superstar" in their rotation, and the athleticism and speed is crushing the Lakers. I would adjust as follows if I were JJ:
PG - Austin / Nick Smith Jr.
SG - Smart / Kennard
SF - Adou / LaRavia
PF - Vando / Rui
C - Lebron / Ayton
This would be the core rotation/lineup for game 6. you have to think outside the box a little bit. Most will pause and say the shooting is a concern. Yes, it would be. But so has the Rockets perimeter movement and THEIR shooting efficiency as well. You need as much athleticism and defensive spark initially to try and wear some of these athletic Rockets wings down early. Game 6 is even more critical than Game 5 obviously for a number of reasons, but KD may be back if this goes 7. Beat the Rockets at their own game and turn it over to the universe. Trust the process.
@AustinThreeves i agree, you have to try something else on offense. no way Luke should have played 31 mins you can tell when a player just isn’t having a great night why keep rolling with the player never made sense
Haven’t been impressed with JJ at all this series with the offense.
And when you SEE the offense has struggled all series long, and SOMEONE is shooting 0/4 and has 1 point and who does NOT defend, should not have 31 minutes in a playoff game.
@RajChipalu not sure why Lakers players flash to Amen Thompson so hard FORCE HIM TO BECOME A SHOOTER along with Sengun, clog the paint and take away their 3-pt ability not one single player on that HOU team needs to be doubled team
@RichStapless Eason, Jabari, and Reed are the only shooters on the floor.
Eason has to be completely open to consistently hit his shots
Jabari is going to shoot contested or not
and Reed pulls when he’s open, very selective through times. HOU isn’t hard to defend
Sengun had 33/16/6 and we won that game.
I don’t care if Sengun gets his one on one. Start to give others a rhythm by conceding open threes, and you run into trouble.
Again, a completely unnecessary double from Vando from the strong side one pass away. Wide open DFS 3. These are NBA players. Give them enough open empty gym looks and they’ll start to fall.
I just don’t know what this accomplishes. What help does Ayton possibly need here? If Sengun makes a tough hook or fadeaway, fine. But this shouldn’t result in an open 3!
@vinaykillawala Lakers got to have Bron on Reed, i get them haunting for the mismatch with Rui on him but Rui literally can’t score in the post which is just sad
watch Reed and Jabari on this possession
the Rockets believe if they play their matchups straight up they will win the series
they wont hard double anymore
@ThinkdontSee@deepyy_ yeah i just don’t get it, you face up with him and if he wants to try to back you down each possession and draw a foul that’s fine, but nonnegotiable leaving shooters open
@okeythegoat@fearedlaker we beat Minnesota with a whole different roster then what we entered with in the playoffs idk why you’re laughing, please include context behind your statements before conversing with me.
@okeythegoat@fearedlaker Luka dropped 40 and 36 on HOU the last time he played against them… he is the Lakers entire offense damn near that’s 33-34PPG missing
@okeythegoat@deepyy_ not really, AR is below average defender but Lakers have to defend as a “TEAM” there’s not a lot of defensive players on the “TEAM” as many players were picked on during the game
@LVstackiN i agree, if that player isn’t providing you anything on OFF & DEF you gotta try something else out, i get coaches may think certain players aren’t ready but you never know unless you try. I rather give DK some burn than let Jake L. play 10 + mins a night and not provide anything
I'm blaming JJ Redick for this loss. How do you play career role player Luke Kennard 31 minutes while clearly not having a good game & played bad defense? I hate how he don't look at the end of bench guys. You need a white shooter on the court look at Dalton Knecht maybe he can hit a few 3s that's what you need just somebody to step up
