Former wide eyed pessimist, now wears really good spex. Would like healthier choices made, less propaganda. News hound. Prefers peace to blowing stuff up.

An independent Israel exists because the Jewish people have focused their energy on building a state. An independent Palestine doesn’t exist because the Palestinian people have focused their energy on destroying a state.

Recognising the reality that the war against Iran was a failure, that the proxy war against Russia has been lost, and that the economic war against China has backfired is smeared and censored in decadent Europe as being “pro-Iran,” “pro-Russia,” and “pro-China.” Being “pro-West” demands embracing delusion by putting on a blindfold and marching toward the cliff. It is obligatory to repeat dishonest chants about democracy and human rights as they burn down the Middle East, fight to the last Ukrainian, risk nuclear war with Russia, and make an enemy out of China. All of these states could have been key partners. Reality is believed to be a social construction, and if they only commit to narratives about the world as they wish it were, then it will come true.

The United States is not a democracy. It’s a dictatorship of capital where the entire government and both of its parties exist to serve capital not people. Every law written, every budget passed, and every data center approved benefits the rich. Only a revolution can change this.

I was honored to speak on the steps of the Capitol to Jewish students who attend @YUNews. Hearing their stories of how they’ve been attacked for simply being Jewish or wearing a kippah inspires me to fight even harder against this evil. Hashem put me in Congress for a reason, and I believe one of those reasons is to be the strongest voice for the Jewish community. Rest assured I will continue to be that voice.

I'm often asked if I identify as a Zionist or an anti-Zionist. The truth is, I don’t identify as either. I don’t believe, as a matter of principle, that Israel should be dismantled. I don’t believe, as a matter of principle, that Israel needs to exist. I believe, as a matter of principle, that Israel does not have the right to oppress another people. And that between the river and the sea, the rights of all people must be protected. If Israel can transform itself to fit this equation, it should continue to exist. If it can’t, then it shouldn’t.

I don’t know why my “live & learn” experiences always have to be so much more extreme than most ppls. I imagine it all stems from the kind of financial instability that for most ppl is quickly turned around with the help of their families & I don’t have that.

The biggest mistake people make is associating Soros with "left" and Adelson, Mercer or Thiel with "right". The way to actually understand them is as a class of oligarchs who fund (or pass through funding) imperialist CIA activities. Soros and "progressive" oligarch foundations like Ford or Rockafeller or oligarchs of their ilk control the fake left part of the conversation - they control the outlets, who can work at them what is written about, the activitists on issues like climate change, women's rights, civil rights or any other issue people in that sphere might be concerned about and weaponize them in service of Empire or destroy them. Their job is to take people's desire for freedom, justice or equality and manipulate them towards the interests of Empire and away from materially control outcomes to those objectives. The Mercers, Thiel and Adelson ilk control the conversation on the "right." Their job is to play to people who tend more towards conservative mindsets and manipulate them towards the interests of Empire and away from actual objectives. They control the influencers and where the conversations go - its why you can end up with "conservative" influencers distorting and regressing religion, openly promoting sexual violence and domination of women or shutting down of education, which are all an erosion of basic moral and social principles. The oligarchy controls the frame, either overtly or covertly in the "independent" media environment. The two sides are consistently pushed into conflict, and they ultimately control the outcomes - playing the wins and losses in such a way to keep both sides traumatized enough to stay engaged but unable to see a way to control any outcomes. Since the entire apparatus is based on the beliefs of a fascist ruling class convinced of their own supremacy - aka, elite rule - the agenda they advance is always to the right and they do pose a legitimate threat to basic morality, along with civil, human and social rights... But their main objective is to keep the frame returning us to problems we already fixed by using social engineering and cultural influence operations to take the desperation and atomization their Imperialist capitalist system creates and make people think the solution is the defeat of the interests of other average people with no power... Anything to keep you from looking at them and the way they operate - How they manipulate the society or how the systems of violence and oppression they advance create the feelings they blame on others. It's why you can have a fake left pretending to "include everyone" by forcing a concept of universality that is actually preservation of social heirarchy or a right claiming moral high ground while their influencers teach you the best ways to choke out women. Thats why we have Bircherite Tucker Carlson, funded by these oligarchs, pushing faux religion anti-communism, and feudalism while being endorsed by the ACP men's rights club with zero women in leadership roles and the Dem "left" opposition is some woman dressing up to mock an irrelevant figure like Erika Kirk... It's the frame itself they are fucking with. And they don't just control mainstream media and the NGO orgs, we know from Epstein that the CIA cutouts weaponize our chatrooms and social media to do things like push violent imagery like snuff porn as their bot farms shift and shape the conversation on social media. What the Bolshevik Revolution represented was a huge leap towards power for workers, equality for men and women, and a massive expansion of rights that considered the needs of different groups of people and empowered them in societal and government processes. They are united in their hatred of that idea. They want "elites" maintaining control of process and conversation. Controlling the figures who speak on those ideas means they can shift them to fit their purpose. No word or concept is safe from their distortion- any idea can be a weapon in their hands

I don’t agree that Israel is committing genocide or that it’s an apartheid state. You want to destroy the world’s only Jewish country in a post-Holocaust reality - a country established because of the historical persecution of Jews in the Middle East and Europe. That is de facto antisemitism, and your refusal to seriously engage with the history of how this conflict started is egregious. Why did peaceful British rule only last until 1920? What happened then? What happened in 1921? What happened in 1929? Why were previous two-state solution offers rejected? What happened in 1947 with UN Resolution 181? Who accepted it and who rejected it? What happened after that? Who started a civil war? What armies invaded? What was their objective? Did they want to govern the Palestinians or give them a state? Who occupied Gaza? Who occupied the West Bank? Why did Jordan give the Palestinians citizenship? Why did Jordan revoke that citizenship in the ’80s and render the Palestinians stateless? Why did Arafat turn down Camp David, the Clinton Parameters, and the Taba negotiations? Where are the Palestinian peace plans, Hasan? Where is the PLO’s two-state solution plan? Why do all of these come from the Israeli side? Why did they put up the barriers in the 2000s - the ones you point to as evidence of apartheid, alongside the checkpoints? What were they trying to prevent (and succeed in preventing) during the Second Intifada? You never grapple with any of these questions because you’re chronically unserious, and your number one objective is to radicalize your audience on this subject specifically. You’re a toxic influence, warping the history to fit your geopolitical objectives. Well, congrats. You got your wish. Now you have a guy with a totenkopf tattoo running in Maine and your buddy who refuses to condemn Hezbollah in Michigan. You’ve succeeded, Hasan. You’ve stretched the Overton Window, and everyone is going to suffer for it.
hasanabi@hasanthehun

if you agree that israel is committing a genocide and is an apartheid state, then separating this state from jews in the us is probably a winning message and combating antisemitism, dont you think?
