@SHistorians He could’ve turned in his uncle in and he didn’t, he took the blame, sacrificed his dreams and not to mention his ability to hear for his brother, handled a ton of adversity and finally cracked when he was about to lose it all and go to jail. Seems like a good dude to me.

Every Christmas I remind people that George Bailey wasn’t a good guy. He held up appearances but when he hit hard times he became a selfish belligerent drunk. Just saying

THE HARSHEST RYDER CUP TAKE I am truly happy for @RyderCupEurope. But let’s take a look at a couple of things: 1) @RyderCupUSA got paid to play horrid golf. If I ran one of those charities I would give the money back and say “spend this on putting lessons.” 2) the @PGA jumped the shark by not only charging the single highest ticket prices in history BUT they also got greedy and agreed to the broadcast being 70% commercials. 3) Is Keegan to blame- no more that every player on the US Squad. They all should be embarrassed. I think they should wear all white tomorrow because they already waived the white flag and don’t deserve to wear the Stars and Stripes. 4) The @PGA has allowed this event to become the Waste Management Ryder Cup. It’s turned into a national embarrassment on soooo many levels. Our fan behavior is out of hand. Get it under control or cancel the Ryder Cup! Complete embarrassment. The @PGATOUR should see this as as reason to unite with @livgolf_league because our Americans are terrible. The American team has been thinned out by the separation. Blunt take. Blow me up I don’t care.

@geraldhanson122 @mattd23 @TheHockeyNews It’s just material-no thicker than a Jersey. It’s designed of cut resistant material. Possibly would reduce some impact but wouldn’t prevent a 170gram hard rubber puck from doing damage.

I don't know, a better product attracts more fans and corporation, which means a lot more money flows to players, which means a competitor that offers cash and nothing else becomes less attractive. Pretty simple formula.

@DanZimgolf Did you read the excerpt we dropped today? It has some poignant examples of his big heart. In the book I go deep on his philanthropy and mentorship of young players and other admirable traits.

Not at all - I’ve always enjoyed being around Phil and I *love* writing about him. But a biographer’s job is to capture all facets of a person. In the book I celebrate Phil’s virtues but the messiness is in there, too.
