🚨Clearly there’s a misunderstanding that I will clear up in depth about whether I’m advocating for eating disorders. The 😂 emoji indicates a joke. Neither of us are experiencing a starvation in the way that those in famine are. We are both intentionally eating fewer calories than our bodies need to maintain their current weight, which allows us to subsist largely on the energy we’ve already converted to excess fat. We are both starving ourselves relative to what we were eating before, because those previous caloric intakes are needed to maintain a higher body weight- which both of us are trying to avoid staying in. I thought that much was clear. It is normal to experience intense hunger when you eat significantly fewer calories than you’re used to. So, the colloquial “omg I’m STARVING” would be an appropriate use of non-literal communication, especially paired with an added emoji for context to communicate the intended use of a colloquialism rather than literalism. It is also normal to feel like you’re starving when eating fewer calories, and that does not mean that you need to eat more because logically we both know that we have excess fat that will sustain us for quite a while even without any access to additional food. Eventually the stomach and body adjust to functioning at a lower caloric intake, because human beings are highly adaptable to various environments in a way that other mammals are not. We also have higher emotional capacities and therefore can use food and other substances beyond subsistence purposes. People who accumulate excess fat are usually unaware of how and why they use food beyond subsistence, and/or have interoceptive issues which impair their ability to properly gauge bodily signals including hunger and satiety. Why you immediately assumed that by making a joke, I was advocating for people to develop eating disorders is frankly puzzling and thoroughly illogical. I don’t see our approaches to weight loss as being materially different. We just use different words. Hope this helps. I do wonder whether our previous ideological disagreements about trans issues has caused you to immediately choose the least logical and least charitable interpretation of my light hearted posts. Might this be the case?

I don’t openly talk about my weight loss. I think it’s disordered (for me!). I don’t starve myself. I don’t equate weight loss to being “starving.” If you do, that’s an extremely unhealthy view of health & weight management. You don’t need to starve to lose weight.
