Buried inside the Farm Bill is an amendment backed by 29 members of Congress that would effectively ban hunting with dogs nationwide. No hounds for bear, no rabbit dogs, no coonhunting, no field trials. It was pushed through on a voice vote, disguised as an anti-greyhound racing bill while the real impact on hunting was barely discussed. This is a direct attack on one of the oldest hunting traditions in America. We need to stop it now. Call your representatives and demand this amendment be removed from the Farm Bill. Meet Crescent Foods – the company flooding Texas stores (yep, including our beloved H-E-B) with “halal” chicken, beef, lamb, and turkey. This ain’t your grandpa’s Texas ranch operation. Founded and run by Ahmad Adam, a Palestinian immigrant born in Jordan. He’s turned it into one of the biggest halal meat suppliers in the U.S., proudly pushing “zabiha” slaughter – where trained Muslim workers hand-cut the throats of fully conscious animals while facing Mecca and reciting Islamic prayers. No stunning. No quick end. Just old-world ritual bleeding them out slow. They market it as “humane” and “antibiotic-free,” but let’s call it what it is: Sharia-compliant meat that’s now mainstream in the Lone Star State because of the growing demand from mass immigration. Texans didn’t fight for independence, build the greatest cattle industry on earth, and defend our way of life just to watch our grocery stores normalize foreign religious practices that treat animals with methods most Americans (and hunters/farmers) find cruel and unnecessary. This isn’t about “inclusion” – it’s cultural replacement creeping into our backyards. H-E-B, what happened to standing for Texas values? Time to vote with your wallet, folks. I took my 11 year old to her checkup this morning and the nurse asked me to step out of the room for a moment. I politely declined and she said, "It's just for a moment." And I told her, "No thank you, given all the stories about children being abused my husband and I decided to never leave our children alone with anyone, even medical providers. Anything you need to do or say you can do with me in the room." She looked all miffed and just left, no idea what her plan was but she didn't feel the need to continue it with me present and that makes me even more suspicious?? When she left my daughter thanked me for not leaving, she's already shy about the doctor, her eyes got so wide when the lady asked me to leave.
