@deepdownderp @NotWoofers Damn that’s interesting, still I think it’s unlikely that they wouldn’t have found them almost 24 hours on unless something bad happened. They have a GPS tracker on them and they rescued the other pilot. The longer is goes on the less likely they are to find them, imo

@Hussein_ayb @ME_Observer_ We’ve seen the APS at least activate from top attacks before even if it may not shoot them down. In this clip the APS doesn’t even activate, maybe the cope cage blocked it or something idk but it’s interesting either way

This is the most significant Hezbollah figure killed in the entire war so far. As the commander of Hezbollah's Southern Front, Hajj Yusuf Ismail Hashem oversaw the Nasser and Aziz Units, two division-sized regional formations responsible for defending all the territory south of the Litani River and near the Golan border. The Badr Division is meant to protect Hezbollah's rear in Southern Lebanon. Spanning from the Litani to the Awali River, its area of responsibility includes major cities such as Nabatieh and Sidon. Hashem was also responsible for commanding the 1-2k Radwan fighters deployed to the southern border from their previous positions in the Baalbek sector.

@zkho343 @AMK_Mapping_ Potentially a US navy interceptor, SM3 or SM6 or Arrow 2. As far as I know Arrow 3 is Exo-atmospheric interceptions and they don’t use Davids sling on ballistic missiles tho they might in an emergency.

@ME_Observer_ The second one likely didn’t penetrate as it hit the front of the Merkava where the armour is the strongest. Shows the operator probably isn’t very experienced compared to other clips we’ve seen from Hezbollah where they target the weak points.

@DefenceGeek they use their air defences to SAMbush jets now, we've seen the shift over the past week or so. They are operating in a guerrilla air defence manner, using passive targeting before launching attacks. They can just pop out and shoot as they dont need radar with IR/EO sensors

Tbh I'm astonished that they still have any air defences left, considering most of the US aircraft have been able to operate over Iran itself with almost no issues! Heck, they had B-52s with JDAMs flying over Iran directly just a few days ago!!
