Puddle is currently on our critical care ward in intensive care. Obviously Puddle is not in any way being considered for adoption.

Puddle came to us as an emergency admission as she was failing to thrive. It would seem that Puddle has a number of neurological issues including ataxia, sight issues and reduced mentation which is likley to be caused by a condition called hydrocephalus.

@RantyHighwayman The ring road in Huntingdon is a dangerous place to cycle with a mish mash of not joined up appalling cycle paths around it. You can go through the centre of the town but you can't ride your bike though it

@supertanskiii This happened to my beautiful cat Connie too. It still haunts me. I am so sorry for your loss, it looks like she had a life filled with love and having you with her at the end of it would have been the biggest comfort to her.

Seeing her in agony in her final moments before I rushed her to the out of hours vets will haunt me forever. She didn’t deserve to suffer this. The veterinary staff at Penrose Colchester treated both me and her with so much kindness and dignity, I’m incredibly grateful for that.

Tonight my beautiful, kind, gentle cat Charlie suffered a sudden clot, I had no choice but for her to go to sleep less than an hour later. She was only 13 and in agonising pain. She isn’t anymore, but I am. My heart has been ripped out. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had do.

Vigil for #BriannaGhey in #Cambridge this evening. Made me realise I don't do enough to advocate for trans people at all. Thanks to the people who spoke

"My friend is having a mental health crisis. I think they might hurt themselves. I can't get through to ambulance so I will call the police" We would still have to call them an ambulance. We will attend to preserve life, but ultimately, ambulance will deal this kind of incident.

@theeyecollector I am still putting forward my idea that everyone has to leave the house with a sign on their back saying whether they prefer bike bells or no bike bells because I always get it fucking wrong

East Cambs District Council has approved a £250,000 grant to go towards a suitable crossing of Burwell Lode along the line of the National Cycle Route 11.

@WilliamNB I think it'd be route 11. Doable on a road bike but not the best surface throughout. There's also a gravel route across Wicken Fen

@WilliamNB There's a route from a place in Cambridgeshire called Barway to Ely. In fact with a tiny bit on a small country lane you can go from Wicken to Ely

@theeyecollector I mean it is nuts but sometimes legally they have to consult on things before changing them. Just so they can say we asked people what they thought. Usually the decision on what they'll do is already made before anyway

@THINKgovuk How about no? I'm repeatedly close passed by drivers and I feel like shit on toast every time, why on earth would I want my kids to experience that too. That's why we ride two abreast, and we don't move to single file because some cry baby can't wait 48 seconds to overtake safely

#CycleToSchoolWeek Day 3 🚲 Cycling 2 abreast (side by side) with children/inexperienced riders can help keep them safer on the roads. Remember to be aware of people driving and allow them to overtake (for example, by moving into single file or stopping) when safe to do so.
