@SussexHenryVIII There are some issues you can't simply see as opposing views and still break bread. Racism and anti LGBTQ views are rampant amongst the right leaning and it's simply inconceivable to hold such views by more progressive people. These views have no reason to be held beyond hatred.

Exactly. That's why I said there are no BLACK AND BROWN characters in Lord of The Flies. And you obviously think the Netflix version is correct because you keep stupidly saying that Roger and Simon were black (stop being dishonest because this is what you are arguing) and that they were whitewashed, which is patently absurd to say about characters created by a WHITE MAN. Why must you be dishonest about this? You can honestly say the characters are originally white because they obviously are then make a case as to why it is better their race is changed. Instead, yiu stupidly and dishonestly want to claim they were not white.

And just to drive this point further, Holding has no problem using the word "nigger" in his book. If he made any of characters black, do yiu honestly think he would not have had one or all of the white kids also call that black boy "nigger"? You dishonest people need to stop making shit up. The book describes them as being tanned over the course of the book. Neither Roger or Simon are any color other than white. "Dark" does not immediately mean black and it says a lot about you that you immediately assume dark means black. And Simon is described as brown because he is TANNING. How many Indiansyou know are named Simon? Or black kids named Roger. This book was also written in 1954 by a white man when Britain was 98% white. It's sheer dishonesty in your party to try to make it seem like there were two colored kids in this book. Get out of here I don't have time to deal with dishonest people like you.

White people can and do tan. These boys being on an island will do that. There are no blacks or browns in Lord Of The Flies. UPDATE: Chris Ostroushko says that the backlash his family has been receiving for their actions last weekend has been “overwhelming” and “nonstop”
He’s now “second guessing” living in the United States, because he’s unhappy with how negatively the public has reacted to him assaulting a woman on camera.
He is in complete disbelief, stating that, "I've never had anything like this happen in my life".
Chris and Deyanna have been going on a press tour continuing to assert that they are the real victims, despite millions watching the footage of them instigating everything.
There is also a GoFundMe for them, where they are currently trying to raise $8k, stating that they’ve lost their jobs and, “are facing one of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments they have ever experienced”.
The family has still taken zero accountability for any of the violence they committed and are in complete shock that they are facing consequences for their actions.
Last week Chris also did an interview where he lied, stating that his family is “absolutely not violent" and that all he did was "stay back and watch" everything, despite being on camera shoving me multiple times.

If we’re just being honest this explanation really makes zero sense. I don’t think anybody should lose their job over alleged canoodling but this statement makes it seem like there was definitely canoodling happening. An innocent canoodler would prob welcome a thorough investigation to prove their innocence and exonerate themselves right? This screams guilty canoodler to me.
