The book describes them as being tanned over the course of the book. Neither Roger or Simon are any color other than white. "Dark" does not immediately mean black and it says a lot about you that you immediately assume dark means black. And Simon is described as brown because he is TANNING. How many Indiansyou know are named Simon? Or black kids named Roger. This book was also written in 1954 by a white man when Britain was 98% white. It's sheer dishonesty in your party to try to make it seem like there were two colored kids in this book. Get out of here I don't have time to deal with dishonest people like you.
