As a sidebar, if you want to know how strength leads to strength, investing in Delphi definitely led to at least 1 other future unicorn & loads of friends. I saw @_mayankkishore & @_amankishore launch their company Mirage on Twitter and couldn’t get in touch with them via outbound, but Dara was connected with them so he introed me and I got to invest. They then introduced me to Chris Cherian who intro’ed me to his classmate @dakshgup, which is how I got to be the first investor in the Bay in @greptile. Mayank and Aman’s cofounder, Shree, also introduced me to @wukevinl at @zck’s General Catalyst holiday party who then introduced me to his roommate @kunalshxh who’s girlfriend is at OpenAI and did a huge favor for Delphi a lot later down the road (and also LP’ed my fund) and taught me poker. There’s easily more than 100 other founders I’ve met indirectly because I did this one deal, and it all started because Dara Ladjevardian is a generational founder.
