There was a lot of talk about Devonte this season that I’m sure some of you remember. It was a contract year and he was baling. But there was also… LaMelo. Graham returned from a seven-game injury absence from a sore kneecap the game before this Toronto one, vs Detroit. Graham didn’t complain about the bench though. Which I respect a lot. “He’s not fighting it, he’s embracing it,” HC James Borrego said of Devonte. “I’ve seen other players have a really hard time. But I have no worries Tae can’t handle this role.” Bonnell also said himself of LaMelo Ball later in this article: “Ball is such a sensation, that Borrego even considering not keeping him in the starting unit would have been lunacy.”
