For how great the Jack Hughes contract is, the Palat contract is so horrifically bad it completely offsets it. Absolute anchor holding this team back

For those of you saying “Palat’s contract was never that bad!” Yes, it was, and yes, it is. He provides a “surplus value” of $-4.5 million per year. Only reason he isn’t on the top 10 worst contracts list is because there are only two years left on the deal. #NJDevils

@chrispineault They all have bigger roles than palat and all higher salaries. All underperforming badly. You’ll realize how dumb you look when palat is a great role player for the isles in playoffs and devils finish 26th in the league
