Refused boarding at the airport this morning. Passport expired, they said. Expired! It's in perfect condition, not a mark on it. My name hasn't changed. I look exactly like the photograph. What difference does a date make? Now we've lost a £4,000 trip to Spain. Somebody owes us that money, the passport office or the airline, I'm not fussed which. Margaret is appalled, there should be an exception for over 65s 🇬🇧

A young couple who moved in last year have planted the wrong hydrangeas. Pink, not the agreed village blue. They say nobody told them, but we hold a meeting every Tuesday at 3 in the hall and they've never once attended. Margaret has asked them to dig them up. Let this slip and next they'll be paving the village green for a car park. This is how anarchy starts. 🇬🇧
