I suppose this is as good a time as any to share that I've joined OpenAI. I plan to continue supporting a few open source humanoid companies like @asimovinc and anvil.bot where I can. The next few years are going to be pivotal. Excited to help build the singularity.

The Cursor for Hardware is finally here! who wants to test?

@pham_blnh Definitely on the pricy side. I think the X2 is also very promising, but the care and intent here with sprout feels warm and genuine. The capabilities we see at launch seem to be more developed compared to the hasty launches of other robots, green flag imo!

@chrisvtom pricing on the steep end of mini robots though, what do u like about it compare to other mini humanoids like agibot x2

This is the ideal approach to bringing robots into our homes. Humanoid robots are still a leap but this has all the key ingredients to create something we love. I'm excited to get my own Sprout and to see what this team does next :)

Today starts a new chapter for me at @BostonDynamics. The last two years leading the Atlas product management team have been amazing: we pivoted from R&D, visited 200+ customer sites, built a trillion dollar application roadmap, designed a production-grade humanoid, and launched at CES. I’m starting a new role leading our Human Robot Interaction team. We will embody AI and start blurring the line between the digital and physical words. We’re going to build exciting new capabilities for today’s robots and explore what’s next. Stay tuned!

It’s tough seeing K-Scale come to an end, but I’m proud that most of what we built is now out in the world. Every late night, broken servo and failed print feels worth it if someone else can pick it up and keep going. K-Bot was born at 4am one December night. @JingxiangMo and I were staring at the Z-Bot and knew we had to build something bigger, something that would make open-source robotics in America impossible to ignore. We called Ben on the spot. No pitch deck, just conviction. After the Zeroth and Z-Bot, we locked into our garage over winter break, and two months later the first K-Bot prototypes were built in the US. K-Scale’s chapter might be closing, but the fire isn’t out. It lives in the people still building. Keep an eye on @JingxiangMo @_kelsey_pool @mattfreed and @pfbudzianowski . Our belief in open-source robots is stronger than ever. I’m now building at @humancomputerlab, starting from first principles and asking how humans will live with machines. Hats off to the @kscalelabs team. The US robotics ecosystem needs ambitious startups like them *and* the capital environment to get them off the ground. Robotics software needs hardware.

In March, my cofounder and I raised $1M from @southparkcommons without an idea. Next thing, I left Stanford for SF to work on giving operators’ telepresence in humanoid robots. I’m stepping away due to internal disagreements, but I wanted to share what I worked on so it doesn’t all fade into the abyss.
