Sometimes, someone doesn’t genuinely love you. They just love what you give them. They love how safe your energy feels, how deeply you care, and how much effort you put in. But they don’t truly choose you. They just don’t want to lose access to you.
They may not show up consistently. They may not give you clarity or meet you with the same emotional depth, but the idea of you loving someone else makes them uncomfortable. They want your loyalty, even if they are not willing to offer you the same. They want your time, your comfort, your heart, but they do not want to do the work that real love requires.
That is not love. That is control. That is possession. It is someone trying to hold onto something they know is valuable without truly honoring it. It is someone fearing that another person will receive the version of you they once took for granted.

SEVERE CONSEQUENCES of a so-called vaccine that protects neither against the disease, nor its transmission, nor severe forms!
" I was insulted, called a dangerous conspiracy theorist, I lost friends for saying that, for any medication, there are side effects, for loudly proclaiming that a so-called vaccine, which kills more than the disease, has no reason to be used, nor made mandatory.
I lost my job as a surgeon because of it! "

Read till the end:
SpiceJet cancelled my Delhi to Srinagar flight (PNR: H8FKMY) today. It was at 11:15 am, and they informed me only at 9:20 am. I was taking my 60+ old parents to Kashmir for their anniversary. They travelled all the way from Rohtak, reached the airport on time, only to be told there’s no flight today. Their entire plan for the next 5 days is ruined.
When I tried to rebook for today, fares were already higher. And the moment I clicked “pay,” the price jumped another 40%.
So, I booked for tomorrow, but it cost way more than the SpiceJet tickets I paid for. SpiceJet says they’ll refund the cancelled flight but what about the extra money I had to pay? What about hotels refusing refunds for the lost day? What about the taxi costs and the stress my old parents had to go through?
Just for my own curiosity, I tried cancelling the Indigo flight I booked for tomorrow. Guess what? They wanted more than ₹5,000 per ticket as cancellation fee, just 10 minutes after booking.
All this in the name of “base fare” and “fuel surcharge.” Base fare they’ll recover anyway by selling the seat at a higher price to someone else. And fuel surcharge? Is fuel price fluctuating every single minute?
Airlines and apps happily charge “convenience fees,” but when they ruin your plans, there’s no inconvenience fee for passengers. No cancellation fees for passengers. Just a cold “write mail to us.” You may get a voucher from their airline.
The staff at the counter have no power, yet they’re the ones who face all the anger. The real decision-makers sit on annual packages worth crores, but don’t lift a finger when it comes to fixing anything real.
FYI: At European airports, airlines are required to give a full refund and pay up to £600 to passengers when they cancel a flight. Even if it’s an Indian airline operating there, the same rule applies. These airlines pay compensation there, even for a flight delay. But what about Indian Janta?
We’re not flying for free, we pay taxes on every single ticket we buy. GST, User development fees, airport charges and even for our security.
Anyway, DGCA rules say 24 hours’ notice is required before cancelling. Why was this ignored? Staff claimed “technical fault” in the plane, but I doubt it. I want SpiceJet to share how many seats were actually booked for this flight. Was the flight only 30-40% full and cancelled for that reason? I didn’t see many passengers stranded there.
These airlines keep sinking and government keeps negotiating. Aviation minister, where are you? Ministers fight for cabinet seats, they take one, enjoy the power and go, but ordinary people keep suffering because of government’s policies. At least one minister has to set an example.
I want answers. And I want real compensation, not just vouchers or empty apologies.

My fellow residents of Delhi and visitors to the city - I request you to cooperate with @dtptraffic in making our capital a city of safe, smooth and disciplined traffic.
Adherence to traffic rules is an essential civic responsibility for the well-being of our beloved Delhi. It is also the key to reducing traffic congestion, preventing mishaps, and lowering air pollution caused by idling vehicles at signals and in gridlocks.
I urge everyone to strictly avoid wrong-side driving, signal jumping, and dangerous jaywalking. Simple actions such as responsible parking and wearing helmets and seatbelts reflect our concern for fellow citizens as well as our own families. I have directed traffic police to expand its enforcement drive across Delhi. You can also empower this movement by using the 'Traffic Prahari' app to report these violations and earn rewards for your contribution to road safety.
A decongested and safer Delhi is within our reach, provided we begin with a commitment to these basic practices. I look forward to your support in building a better capital for all.

On Mother’s Day, I often think about a wish Kusum once shared during her Stage 4 cancer journey.
She used to say:
“I atleast wants to live until our son Suryansh finishes his Class 10" (an important milestone in kids growth and education in India)
But perhaps there was a small miscommunication with God.
Instead of waiting for his Class 10 exams, she was taken away when he turned 10 years old.
Years later, Suryansh passed his Class 10 exams with flying colors.
And somewhere deep inside, I felt:
“One more wish of hers has been fulfilled.”
Being a single father after losing her has never been easy.
But I truly believe it was Kusum's love, strength, and blessings for Suryansh which continue to guide us every day.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.
And especially to the ones who continue protecting their children… even from beyond what we can see.
And indeed Happy Mother’s Day to all Single Fathers like me who play a role of mother too :-)
💛

Why the PM said what he said in Hyderabad today about WFH, saving petrol, avoiding destination weddings, not buying gold for a year, etc.
India imports massive quantities of both crude oil and gold, and both are paid for in dollars. In a period of geopolitical instability, if crude oil prices rise sharply while gold imports and luxury foreign spending continue unchecked, it puts enormous pressure on India’s foreign exchange reserves, trade deficit, rupee stability, and inflation.
Oil is a necessity. Gold and luxury foreign expenditure are lnot. From a policymaking perspective, reducing non-essential dollar outflow during economic uncertainty becomes strategically important.
If people don't save fuel, keep buying imported gold at record levels, and spend heavily abroad, the pressure eventually hits the rupee itself. A weaker rupee makes imports more expensive, fuel prices rise, transportation costs go up, and eventually the price of almost every commodity in the economy starts increasing.
So his appeal is logical for collective good.

So Modi wants common citizens to "follow their duties" and cut down on petrol-diesel consumption.
Well then Modi should personally ensure
> Reduction in MP-MLA convoys' size by 80%
> Total ban on chartered flights of all politicians
> Total ban on foreign trips of all politicians
> No mega political meetings and rallies
> No mega swearing-in gatherings
> No car or bike rallies for parties
> No foreign visits for himself
> All rules to apply to RSS also
Of course, this won't happen. But we have to follow 'kartavya' because this is 'Amrut Kaal' and we are all subjects of the regime, even as the regime gorges on fruits of our taxes.

Corporate life can be ruff. Between back-to-back meetings, endless emails, and the constant hustle of a newsroom, it’s all too easy to forget that your well-being is the foundation of your productivity. NDTV recently invited Oscar, our first-ever Chief Bark Officer, to spend the day in the newsroom. While he was mostly here for the head pats and the occasional treat, he accidentally gave us a masterclass in mental health.
