PCNL safety tip – respect torque Excessive torque during PCNL can cause bleeding, renal injury, and scope damage. In this clip, while pushing to finish with one puncture, the image shifts from round to oval — a clear sign of fiber stress. This is how scopes break, especially when used without a sheath. 💡 Don’t force it. Reposition, add access, or stage the case. Protect the kidney. @DongNguyeb BTW ChatGPTs (4o) opinion on the topic: AI and robotics are not about replacing thinking but redefining it by allowing surgeons to focus on the “art” of medicine while automating the “science.” This synergy is likely to elevate patient care standards in endourology and beyond.

@DongNguyeb How do you define thinking? Most surgical procedures are just a sequence of predefined steps at the right time. Probably robotic and #endourology procedures are likely to be replaced. Aquablation is showing the way. Human supervision will still be needed for some time though.

If AI can be dominate in some tasks in EndoUrology, it means these tasks in Endourology doesn’t involve truly thinking.

The size of the prostate is not stated. Eventually penetration depth of Rezum is a black box, this is why I would not recommend treating <30cc glands. We see interesting caverns with no clearly defined prostatic capsule in TURP/AEP after Rezum.
