What I am going to return to: The online world and the offline world are both broken beyond belief. But the online world is broken in ways that are harder to see. Swarming around this account is an amazing amount of bullshit. Most of it anonymous. A lot of it simplistic. Some of it paid for. Some state-sponsored. A ton of it utopian. Much of it troll. If all the malign actors stopped following me, and my followers count plunged, I’d prefer it. But you can’t really infer much out here. It’s incredibly polluted.
