Pleased to share my proposal for the next phase of the @Livepeer Network: Livepeer Cascade.
The combo of Livepeer's low latency streaming stack, and network of GPUs, make it uniquely suited to be a leading platform and community in the emerging area of real-time AI video.

Today @OpenAI revealed their research progress on the Sora generative video AI model, with some impressive demonstrations.
This helps show the world how powerful generative video can be, and progress on open models is moving faster than ever. But generating these videos requires massive GPU computing power, and can be expensive.
As part of Livepeer's AI Video initiative, the community is working to bring these capabilities to the Livepeer network in the coming months, creating affordable and open access points to developers, creators, and users looking to do inspiring things with generative video.

Introducing Sora, our text-to-video model. Sora can create videos of up to 60 seconds featuring highly detailed scenes, complex camera motion, and multiple characters with vibrant emotions. openai.com/sora Prompt: “Beautiful, snowy Tokyo city is bustling. The camera moves through the bustling city street, following several people enjoying the beautiful snowy weather and shopping at nearby stalls. Gorgeous sakura petals are flying through the wind along with snowflakes.”

Some of my favorite ideas from this episode:
-Truly becoming yourself is an incredibly high bar
-To be real means you are imperfect
-The reward for good work is more work
-You want to be doing some thing (life’s work) where the goal is to spend more time doing it!
-On innovation: all the real breakthroughs come from places where there is not enough money
-Lack of resources is actually a feature. It’s the benefit.
-Success: Have every single meal with your kids
-Cultivate a family identity. Our family doesn’t do this. Our family does this.
— Go getter / Go giver. The more you give the more you get. The paradox is the most selfish thing you can do is be generous
— Thinking is overrated by guys who like to think. It takes other things to get things done in the world. Thinking is necessary but not sufficient. Put Einstein and a Tiger in a cage, who wins? Not the smartest guy.
—Media (content) works best when it’s an expression of the personality of the creator. Unencumbered. Unconstrained. Easier to do as a single person.
—To get your message across you need to simplify, simplify, simplify, then exaggerate
—Don’t be the best. Be the only.
—Be generous and unique. Most people do the opposite

@arthcmr @aidanbrodieo @PaulTroonTech @flow_blockchain Doesn't the Flow Foundation still gatekeep who is allowed to run a staked node (flow.com/node-validators)?
English

@aidanbrodieo @PaulTroonTech @flow_blockchain Yeah, we should cover decentralization soon. I’ll share this but we could chat later in detail decrypt.co/83957/flow-blo…

Flow and Ethereum are often compared to each other, but while both have their strengths, in many ways @flow_blockchain is the clear superior choice for developers.

Curious about how @Livepeer tries to balance its staking participation at the ~50% equilibrium level?
Short answer: via dynamic issuance of rewards.
What does this mean?
How does it work in practice? 📊
