@tomwarren This is totally true and also easily solvable by apple. I can't for the life of me figure out why Apple can't dynamically move data to the cloud for the duration of an upgrade. Clearing enough space on a 16 or even 32GB iPad - even _with_ iCloud - is a huge chore

I bet most people who are still on iOS 18 haven’t upgraded because of a lack of storage space. It always surprises me when I look at family and friend’s phones and they’re on an ancient iOS version because they don’t want to delete any photos or videos or pay for iCloud
