This statement is completely asinine and contrary to the interests of the athletes who compete in the Southern Conference and the schools they represent. I can only assume the commissioner of the SoCon is angling for a higher-paying job in a bigger league.

@SandlapperSpike Yea it was really wrong…. My guess is they used AI to pull stats. And from some personal experience it often struggles with College baseball stats

Admittedly, it doesn't really matter that the ESPN+ broadcast has ETSU leading the all-time series 72-48, when in reality The Citadel leads it 67-47 (or 67-48 per ETSU's website). That said, it makes you question some of the other stats bandied about on the broadcast.

@chunck17 Don't really know. Just really off. When I saw it I knew it was wrong without even knowing the actual numbers, just based on the general history of the two programs.
