@jakemm1977 @libsoftiktok @uofcincy @usedgov Just that Cincinnati is a wonderful city and you recognize that when it comes to choosing the photos that represent you.
English

@chwinburn @libsoftiktok @uofcincy @usedgov Well I live in NKY and Cincinnati has a pretty skyline. Not sure where you were going with that 🤷♀️
English

@jakemm1977 @libsoftiktok @uofcincy @usedgov Your header photo is literally a picture of Cincinnati…
English

Cincinnati has been a corrupt, liberal shithole for decades. Lots of grooming in the Catholic schools. White liberal women & blacks control everything. Every city leader is grifting. Crime out of control. I avoid it as much as I possibly can. Creeping into NKY now sadly. It will never change.
English

SCOOP: University of Cincinnati is offering students “know your rights” cards.
The card instructs illegals how to evade ICE.
We reached out to the university asking if they support helping criminals hide from ICE and they declined to respond.
@uofcincy may be harboring illegals.
Would be a shame if @ICEgov @RealTomHoman saw this!

@KySportsRadio They should’ve tried to schedule all the bad teams every month instead of just April
English

@bigmikenwillie @MattSakR2NG I think some or all of these people are at the negotiating table. Someone has to be from the UK side.
English

@chwinburn @MattSakR2NG Do you actually think any of these 4 are sitting with recruits?
English

Kentucky Basketball’s “General Management Team”
1. Keegan Brown - Roster construction, data analytics
2. Nick Robinson - Salary cap strategy
3. Kevin Sergent - Compliance officer, contracts, legal language
4. Kim Shelton - JMI, NIL contracts with corporate sponsorships
Mark Pope@CoachMarkPope
What a week Big Blue Nation! What else do you want to know?
English

@bigmikenwillie @MattSakR2NG It’s pretty simple. None of these people can negotiate well enough to close deals with recruits.
English

@MattSakR2NG I don't under why MJ & ksr is so consumed with this whole gm thing. Now, they're posting more about it. We have 4 people acting as a unit to fill the GM role. Move on.
English

@KySportsRadio It probably doesn’t matter for Pope since this will likely be his last year. But the new AD needs to get someone in place to start the process for the next coach.
English

BREAKING via Fox News
The United States has conducted airstrikes on Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas in Iran.
US officials tell @JenGriffinFNC that from their perspective this is not a restarting of the war.
There are also reports of air defense activity in Tehran.
English

@KySportsRadio I would put Oscar in the first tier for sure. NPOY should basically be automatic.
English

@KySportsRadio Would love to hear your thoughts on what the main problem is with Pope’s recruiting because he’s missing from every angle. Is it his recruiting pitch, personality conflicts, identifying players they actually have a shot with, or something financially at the closing table?
English

@morehorsepower4 @ML_BBN I don’t buy that for a second. We hired a coach that is underachieving so the fans are rightfully frustrated. It’s not the fanbase’s job to fake enthusiasm to prop up the program. It’s the program’s job to make the fans actually enthusiastic.
English

No. He got guys that fit his system and they were an upgrade over any team he ever had because the Ky brand still meant something and they were proud to be here.
What concerns me is the brand is taking a hit by media and its own fanbase who thinks they’re somehow doing it a favor by running it in the ground.
No matter what happens this season, they’re making it harder to get guys here the following season.
English

This is what gives me the hope of Popes vision - When healthy that team had:
A defensive/general PG (Butler)
Spark plug off the bench (Kerr)
A high level scorer (Robinson)
Knock down shooter (Brea)
Jack of all trades (Oweh)
Young Potential (Chandler)
Stretch 4 (Carr)
Vet role player (Almanor)
Defensive big that can pass (Williams)
Offensive back up (Garrison)
Fan Fav Role players (Perry/Noah)
Rare Rookies@rarerookies
Kerr Kriisa committed to Kentucky on this day in 2024.
English

@TristanUda That roster was supposed to be the starting point not the standard.
English

In 2024, Kentucky had a starting five that began their careers at SDSU, BYU, OU, Delaware, & Drexel. Fully healthy, they beat the eventual national champs and were Elite 8 caliber.
If that roster were built this offseason, it would likely be criticized.
Not saying this year's team will succeed or fail, just saying maybe we should let it play out.
English

@TristanUda It really depends on your opinion of Pope. Can he inspire people and make them buy in? If not, he should probably say silent. If yes, then he needs to be doing that. Both for the fanbase and also for potential recruits who follow this stuff.
English

I have seen people asking why Mark Pope hasn't spoken publicly to the media since the season ended.
Pope is not unique in that. At this point in the offseason, nearly every coach in college basketball has yet to talk to the media publicly.
It's never been standard practice for coaches to hold pressers before finishing their roster, aside from an open spot or two for depth or late additions.
Mark Pope and John Calipari both traditionally held press conferences in May, with another to follow in June/July, then player availability leading up to another coach presser on Media Day in October.
This has not been a point of discussion in past offseasons.
English

@DylanBallard_UK @BRamseyKSR But we know that as soon as they meet Pope in person, they start looking elsewhere. We need to put our best foot forward.
English

@chwinburn @BRamseyKSR I have no intel but I would assume there will be more than just this conversation happening.
English

I've been PLENTY negative about Kentucky's recruiting situation over the last 12+ hours. However, I'm not going to pile on about Coach Pope's current trip to Israel.
Making fun of Márcio Santos' stats simply shows you don't understand international basketball.
Yes, he averages 8.4 points & 4.1 rebounds per game. However, he was a solid rotation player (what he would be asked to be at Kentucky) in the EuroLeague which is the highest level of basketball competition in the world outside of the NBA/Olympics.
You now who averages 9.1 & 5.4 for Maccabi Tel Aviv? TJ Leaf...who averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a freshman at UCLA and was the #18 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
English

@Karl_Townes He had to make the hire before the swimming scandal broke. Left him in the position of needing someone that would definitely say yes quickly. The beloved alum angle was a bonus in helping drown out the negative publicity too.
English

@KyleTuckerCBB No one actually believes Pope can win big at Kentucky so now his defenders are trying to change the subject. Do you have a team that is going to compete for the SEC title, SEC tournament title, and a final four? It’s a pretty simple standard. And he’s about to go 0 for 3.
English

The goalpost is win big. If he does it Florida’s way, without a five-stars and by nailing evals and crushing retention, great.
The goalpost at Kentucky is win big. Nobody is holding Pope to a standard he hasn’t said out loud he clearly understands.
Vinny Hardy@VinnyHardy
And whenever Pope does get his first lottery pick level high school recruit, the goalposts will move to: “Well, can he coach that type of dude?” Fair or not, it comes with the territory.
English

@DylanBallard_UK I think it depends on what your expectations are. I would say it’s reasonable and not premature to assume Kentucky will not have a roster that can compete at the highest level next year. To me, that makes it a lost season.
