The story of Zinaida Portnova, the 16 year old girl who took the lives of more than 100 Nazis by poisoning their food. She was captured by the Gestapo, and while being interrogated, she disarmed the Nazi detective and shot him in the head. In her attempt to escape, she executed two more Nazis. A seventh-grade student at the 385th school in Leningrad, Zinaida became member of the local underground Komsomol organization, named Young Avengers, during the German invasion. She became employed as a kitchen aide in Obol. In August, she poisoned the food meant for the Nazi garrison stationed there. Immediately falling suspect, she said she was innocent and ate some of the food in front of the Nazis to prove it was not poisoned. After she did not fall ill immediately, they released her. Portnova became sick afterwards, vomiting heavily but eventually recovering from the poison after drinking much whey. After she did not return to work, the Germans realized she had been the culprit and started searching for her. When she was captured in 1943, during the Gestapo interrogation, she took the investigator's pistol off the table, then shot and killed him. When two German soldiers entered after hearing the gunshots, she shot them as well. She then attempted to escape the compound and ran into the woods, where she was caught near the banks of a river. She was executed in 1944.

1000 days since Taliban BANNED teenage girls from going to school. Afghanistan is the ONLY country in the world where girls are prohibited from school or university. In the 21st century, this is a disgraceful blemish on humanity. apnews.com/article/taliba…

Today is my birthday. My three grown sons, who live in other parts of the country, didn't call. Forget about birthday cards. I guess no one does that anymore. It's really hard for me to understand how my children, who were raised to write letters and cards and thank you notes, and, by the way, had glorious birthday parties, don't care about special occasions when it comes to their Mom. It makes me feel very lonely at 68 years old.

The discussion around men in India burning their underwear in protest of marital r@pe becoming illegal is circulating the twittersphere. If you know me, you'll be unsurprised that I'm gonna chime in. Women who are critical of gender ideoIogy are accused of "hatred" and "unkindness," not being "inclusive" and called everything from "n@zi" to "b*g0t" to "c*nt." We are subjected to r@pe threats, m*rder threats, and other wishes of vioIence, daily. People talk about how we are advocating for "exclusion," and... you know what? WE ARE. Why? Because this isn't about a third grade birthday party. This is about the rights and protections that women NEED, not just to "feel validated" or for our emotional fufillment, but because WE ARE PHYSICALLY DIFFERENT THAN MEN, and because FOR THE MAJORITY OF HUMAN HISTORY, WOMEN WERE CHATTEL. In many places, we STILL ARE. We may sit here in the USA and look at what's happening in India thinking "wow, how is that possible as a debate," ...but marital r@pe was not Included in s3x offense codes in all 50 states until 1993. Women couldn't practice law in the US till 1971. In 1920, when the first women got voting rights in the US (many black women didn't until the 1960s) "wife beating" became illegal, but it did not start becoming enforced in law till the 70s. Women couldn't have a credit card till 1974. Our bathrooms we are so concerned about? Those weren't a thing before the 1880s, and were actually a HUGE DEAL bc before them, a woman couldn't go very far from her home. She was on a "urinary leash" so couldn't travel or participate in public society fully. We got our own sports with Title IX in 1972. All of this is QUITE RECENT HISTORY, yall. And, the REASON women were in a place of less-than-equality was because of our BIOLOGY. Women needed protecting from men, by men. Thus, the social contract that is patriarchy was established, and served a purpose. As we progressed collectively, we have been letting that contract go, renegotiating things based on the fact that women are whole human beings, and have inherent rights equal to men's. A right to safety, privacy, s3xual choice, and equal opportunity. We wouldn't have needed to go thru all of this if our BIOLOGY was not significantly different than men's. It is the ROOT CAUSE of women's historical oppression. Our s3x based protections have been created in order to balance out the disadvantages of that PHYSICAL, MATERIAL DIFFERENCE. But, still, all over the world, women are beaten and r@ped and it isn't even a crime. And, even tho it is a crime in the US, it is far from fully enforced. Want proof? Look at our backlog of well over 400,000 untested r@pe kits. In the US, a woman is beaten by a man EVERY 9 SECONDS. And, although it is indeed illegal to beat women here, it is still the NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF INJURY TO AMERICAN WOMEN. Over 2 million women are injured this way per year in the US. More than a half million require medical attention, and over 165,000 need overnight hospitalization, according to the CDC. The number 1 cause of death to pregnant women in the US?? Their husbands. “Women worldwide ages 15 through 44 are more likely to die or be maimed because of male violence than because of cancer, malaria, war and traffic accidents combined,” (-Nikolas D Kristof) Women worldwide are killed by male violence in the TENS OF THOUSANDS every year. In 2022, it was 89,000 dead women and girls. The truth of ENDEMIC violence against women is at risk of becoming sheltered into invisibility by the erasure of biological s3x as an immutable legal trait. And with it will go what little progress we've made in protecting women from it. Women don't give a shit about being VALIDATED. We aren't being JEALOUS or STINGY here. WOMEN. WANT. TO. BE. SAFE. We're not paranoid, or regressive, or judgy, or just trying to be bitches. We are ACTUALLY in danger. Every minute of every day in every place on this planet. And that danger? It comes at the hands of the very group the world is demanding us to "INCLUDE." So, if you think that's hate, or b*g0try, or even UNFAIR... if you think that WE are the ones infringing on the HUMAN RIGHTS OF MEN who want to "be women".... You have ZERO idea what actual human rights are at all. #EndFemicide #CountingDeadWomen #DVAwareness
