The first time I watched a patient die, I was a student. ICU. I stood there watching the monitor. The numbers kept dropping slowly, like they had somewhere to be and nothing was going to stop them. Nobody was rushing. That was the part that got me. The monitor just kept beeping and beeping. And then less beeping. I kept waiting for someone to do something but there was nothing to do. I thought about it for weeks afterward. How one minute a person is there and then they just aren’t. How the body gives you a countdown and there’s nothing to do but watch. It taught me something I couldn’t have learned in a classroom: life is fickle in a way that the word “fickle” doesn’t fully cover. You just get used to it. You learn to separate yourself from it, go home, eat your food, sleep. And one day you just realize death stopped scaring you and you don’t know exactly when that happened.

False. You people always argue without nuance. Everything is not black or white. Don't hide your desperation under logical timeline. There is no logical timeline for dating. You have to factor when the relationship began, the current state of the parties, and the parties' long term plans together. If an Enginerring student started dating a Law student in 100 level, by the end of NYSC, 6 years is gone. If they entered school at 17, they would be 23 at the end of service. Before they get job and settle down in their career and finace, they are 30. That is 13 years. It is not timeline that matters. It is commitment.
Ebelechukwu@_ebelechukwu

As a babe, the maximum logical time you can date a man is 4years. Any man that needs more than four years to marry you doesn’t like you like that. He most likely waited for the one, didn’t find and settled for you. I know you think you are the exception but exceptions don’t make the rule

All these men will disperse after this and integrate themselves back to polite society, and tomorrow someone will say women are being irrational in their fear.

Many girls have reportedly been r@p£d and m0l£sted by men in Ozoro during what is being described as a “r@p!ng festival” in the area. According to multiple reports and videos circulating online, today is said to be the day of this festival in the Ozoro community, and girls are wvrned not to go outside. It is alleged that any girl seen outside could be att@ck£d and r@p£d by groups of men. Foreigners who are unaware of this situation have reportedly fallen v!ctim as well. There is Delta state university in Ozoro, and many female students may not be fully aware of the d@nger. It is distvrbing that something like this could be tolerated in society. This is heartbreaking, and urgent action needs to be taken.

LOL A sexual assault is ongoing targeting women in your jurisdiction and then you, the Police spokesperson now uses sexual innuendos to respond to a female citizen seeking justice for those that were sexually assaulted. Did I miss anything out? Looks unreal but it’s happening in real time.

You cannot tackle false rape accusers without first tackling rape. You must be loud in your condemnation of rape before you can begin to face false rape accusers. But you’re a fool.

This is beyond disturbing, it’s not culture, it’s criminality dressed up as tradition. There is no angle where this is acceptable. None. Sexual violence is not a rite, not a celebration, not a misunderstanding , it is a violation of human dignity and a serious crime. Trying to normalize or excuse it under “festival” language is exactly how abuse continues unchecked. Let’s be clear: If people feel unsafe during a gathering, if consent is ignored, if victims are silenced or blamed, that is not a festival, that is a systemic failure of community and law enforcement. This is where authorities, including the Nigeria Police Force and Delta State leadership, must step in decisively. Not statements. Action. Investigations, arrests, protection for victims, and clear consequences. Communities also have a responsibility. Silence, denial, or “protecting the image of the town” only enables more harm. This is appalling, it is devastating, and it demands urgent attention. No tradition is worth protecting if it protects abuse.

As a girl, when you sit close your legs so that boys won’t harass you. As a girl when you want to go out, cover your body properly, don’t wear skimpy clothes so that boys won’t harass you As a girl this, as a girl that… But see your dusty grown ass sons tearing women’s clothes in public to rape and humiliate them. Everybody better train your sons because if your nasty sons try rubbish, my retribution story will never leave your generation.

You woke up in the morning, brushed your teeth, had your bath, dressed up and entered inside the town to look for girls to sexually assault because your sick culture permits it. Make dem first arrest the traditional ruler of that town, Let him explain the essence of that barbaric and inhumane treatment.

Unfortunately, it’s why we can never be rid of rapists. Never. Because what message does this pass to young boys?Of course they’ll grow up to think rape is normal.
