German men were just told they're not allowed to leave the country without their government's permission in case they're needed for a military draft at a moment's notice, and now they're seeing their EU "friends" criticize the US for spending money to rescue their personnel, thus raising the question of whether they would be rescued if they were sent to war and ended up in a similar situation, or if people would just shrug and say, "eh, it's just one guy. He's disposable. Totally not worth risking a plane over. Let the enemy have him."
