Waah—pay annually 25K and no audit. Dear salaried class, this is the system and power, and this is how they manage it. A salaried individual pays 25K annually just for earning 115K per month, and for our beloved trading community, our government is generously planning to allow them to pay just a minimum of 25K irrespective of their income and that’s it. Why can’t they be taxed on their actual income earned? What is the purpose of the FBR and its staff?

They've got this 6 rounds interview process to get the finest, and then proceed with immediate mass layoffs. I was supposed to get an offer letter last week but the position got on hold because of layoffs. Dodged. 😮‍💨

When Asim Munir was awarded a sword of honour they praised his exceptional intelligence and predicted greatness for him. I once talked to someone who presented to him at ISI and the man said he’d presented to three DG’s but no one had as strategic and deep questions as Asim. He simply operated on a different level. Like everyone Asim has several advisors including one ex PM. But the managing of complex issues coolly, playing 4D chess, and choosing when to act and how, is all him. That’s what has always defined his career.
