Elon Musk showing Gayle King the Boring Company tunnels, designed to solve traffic in congested cities. Inside, drivers can reach speeds of over 100 mph, and the tunnels are gas-proof, earthquake-resistant, and engineered to remain incredibly safe in all conditions.
Then Elon added: "Tunnels, in my view, are the only solution to over-congestion because we have 2D road networks while buildings are in 3D. If everyone had to pile out of those buildings and enter the roads at the same time, it’s obvious we’re going to have a traffic jam."

@tobi It’s a game-changer. Buildings are 3D, which requires transport to be 3D to solve congestion. Many layers of tunnels underground to impedance match to the many floors of buildings above ground.
