To understand integrating the shadow I would first point to the default mode network (DMN) in the brain as a key player. Its what runs when we're not oriented on tasks that require focus— which is also why many people enjoy keeping themselves busy. Thread below 🧵⤵️

@DigitaDemonGirl Hmm I have been doin yrs of somatic and nervous system work. Its not easy by any means.. but it is entirely possible, though it will feel at first that it isn't. The brain is a double edged blade that is both blessing and curse but learning about how it operates helped immensely.
