Savaş bizi karlı dağlara götürdüğü gün Kızıllığında ısındık; Dağlardan çöllere düşürdüğü gün Gölgene sığındık. Ey şimdi süzgün, rüzgarlarda dalgalı; Barışın güvercini, savaşın kartalı Yüksek yerlerde açan çiçeğim. Senin altında doğdum. Senin dibinde öleceğim. -Arif Nihat Asya

If we are discussing history's 'heap of horrors,' it is hypocritical to ignore the suffering inflicted by Greek nationalists. You conveniently forget the systematic oppression of Western Thrace Turks, including the arbitrary stripping of citizenship of 60,000 people and the 1990 Komotini pogroms. You ignore the EOKA/EOKA-B massacres in Cyprus—from the 'Bloody Christmas' of 1963 to the 1974 massacres in Maratha, Santalaris, and Tochni, where hundreds of civilians, including women and children, were executed. Selective outrage is a shameful double standard. Let's be clear: if the Turks had committed genocide, there wouldn't be a single Greek left in the world today. Before lecturing others and demanding accountability, look in the mirror, acknowledge your side's blood-stained record, and stay silent

To claim that Turks have made nearly no contribution to arts and sciences is a textbook example of Eurocentric bias and historical myopia. Civilization is a global relay race, not a Western monopoly. Long before the European Renaissance, Central Asian Turkic centers were world epicenters of exact sciences. In mathematics, pioneers like Abdulhamid ibn Turk co-founded the foundations of algebra in the 9th century. In astronomy, Ulugh Beg built the world’s most advanced observatory in Samarkand, producing precise star catalogs, while his successor Ali Qushji made groundbreaking calculations on Earth's rotation. This scientific legacy transitioned seamlessly into pioneering engineering and ballistics. In the 15th century, Sultan Mehmed II (the Conqueror) acted as a master military engineer. He personally calculated the advanced physics, aerodynamics, and ballistics required to design the revolutionary 'Şahi' bombards (massive siege cannons) and invented the modern high-angle mortar (havan topu) to strike hidden targets behind walls, fundamentally reshaping the history of global warfare through innovative geometry and metallurgy. Visually and architecturally, this genius was mirrored from East to West. Cities like Bukhara and Samarkand shone with monuments like the Kalyan Minaret and the Registan Square. In Anatolia, this culminated in Mimar Sinan, who revolutionized world architecture with his earthquake-resistant engineering and dome aesthetics in masterpieces like the Süleymaniye

It's funny how you try to claim history while ignoring the facts. Antiphellos (originally Habesos), just like Myra and other surrounding cities, is a fundamentally Lycian settlement. The Lycians were native Anatolians with their own unique language, alphabet, and the first democratic federation in history—long before any Hellenistic influence. The spread of Hellenistic culture wasn't about 'admiration'; it was the standard cultural diffusion of the era, much like the Romanization of Europe later on.

@AmanYavroum @TotalFootball The ancient theater of Antiphellos, built in the 4th century BC, belongs to the Lycian civilization. It now belongs to Türkiye and will always remain so. However, the island of Meis, visible in the background, is currently under Greek occupation. It will be ours in the future :)

Most people watch the World Cup from cafe or a couch. Türkiye fans watch it at 6:00 AM from a 2,000-year-old ancient theatre facing the sea. 🇹🇷🌅 Football with a view like this hits different. 😮
